MT LIONS (Ages 4-5): Shannon Barbour & Adrianna Van Dam

EAGLES (1st -2nd grade): Becky Karschney

BEARS (3rd – 5th grade): Doreen Franson

Story: Jesus turns a few fish into enough to feed a crowd. John 6:1-15

Memory verse:  Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never be hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

Objectives:

·        The miracle of the Feeding of the 5000 reflects the message that God has always provided and continues to provide for our needs.

·        Consistently throughout history, starvation and malnutrition have not been the result of a true lack of resources, but of a maldistribution of resources.

·        The message of Jesus is a new world order where the abundance that God has provided is indeed distributed by humans on an equitable basis.
