Jack Handy

AKA Handy Jack
stinker, sailor, safecracker, sot

Iain's character for inky's heist game.

To those who don't know him well, Jack comes across as a horrible old loudmouthed drunken malicious bastard. Those who know him tend tend to agree. However, they will acknowledge that he has few peers when it comes to the art of lockpicking. Besides skill, dexterity and experience, he employs a ferocious tenacity, an array of unique tools, and a willingness (some would say eagerness) to just smash things to bits and/or blow them up as the occasion demands.

No-one remembers how Jack lost his left hand, least of all Jack himself. He supplements his stump with a substantial collection of useful screw-on gadgets, such as:

  • the classic hook, for general day-to-day usage;
  • wooden hand, for rare social occasions;
  • miniature pistol;
  • magnifying glass;
  • spork;
  • and so on.

Things got a little too hot for him ashore after he stole every one of the fourteen known paintings by the great master Cazetti in a single fortnight in order to win a bet (the prize being a hogshead of brandy). To escape the long arm of the law, he shipped on the Golden Parrot as head carpenter, sail-repairer, drunken old bastard and general handyman. He had a certain involvement in the retrieval of the Sea's Blood, and considers his share of the jewel to be his absolute legal property. He's pissed off at Danvers, sure, but his main priority is to get back what was stolen.
