Zander softly cackles as he takes the sack off him.

Bort says, "well, I would be happy to invest my portion of the reward back into the local economy at some suitable interest rate"

Zander counts the coins.

Bort says, "perhaps we could set up some sort of ogre-themed amusement park for passing travelers"

Markan says, "Sir, I cannot accept my portion of the money under these circumstances. You may have my 44 gold pieces back."

Q says, "I will give back my part of the twenty extra too."

Markan says, "Your town needs them far more than I do."

Q looks for any stuff they left behind.

[dcc] Bort says, "ok, so it really is we're going to be exploring the kobold's dining room, bedroom, and bathroom for the rest of the module"

[dcc] DM says, "They all came out to fight you together!"

[dcc] Bort says, "then a boss fight in the jacuzzi"

[dcc] DM says, "Ha ha"

[dcc] Q exclaims, "Water elemental!"

DM says, "Down in the south area there are some kobold-sized arms and armor"

Q exclaims, "Look, gear!"

DM says, "A few javelins, a couple short swords, some small shields"

Zander asks (of Markan), "Wanna scan for magic?"

Plot exclaims, "Loot!"

Q grabs all that she can carry, which is probably lots.

Bort says, "maybe we should come back for this when we know the caves are safe"

[dcc] Q says, "Yeah, but we can drag it back to the surface and exasperate the shopkeeper with it later."

Q says, "Let's dump it at the junction, so we can grab it on the way out."

Zander casts detect magic on the lot.

DM says, "Nothing magic"

Zander looks sullen.

Bort says, "this is all their extra stuff"

[dcc] DM says, "Geez, 2nd level and he already expects to find magic everywhere"

Q says, "We can put it against this wall here where we will be sure to find it later."

Bort says, "it would be more logical of them to use their magical weapons and armor"

Bort says, "unless there's some kind of tax reason to let it depreciate on its own"

Markan walks over to the desk to look at the book.

Zander casts detect magic.

DM says, "There are four more pallets to the west with furs and blankets, and one bigger one at the east"

DM says, "with a bunch more of those black candles next to it"

Plot asks, "What foul sorcery is this??"

Q starts pulling tapestries off of the walls, under the theory that they are 'treasure'.

DM says (to Zander), "The writing inside looks similar to that on the cover"

DM says, "I will spare you all the chore of going down that other north passage, since it is empty"

DM says, "I think they were reserving it for further expansion"
