[S7S] GM waves!

npc1 has connected.

npc2 has connected.

Bobby has connected.

Bobby says, "Hiya."

GM says (to you_two), "Roll 2d6 to see how many ranks of damage you recovered from the last time."

Geoffrey says, "I think I only lost one rank, but let's see"

Geoffrey rolls 2 6-sided dice: 1 1| 2

Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

GM says, "Ha."

Geoffrey says, "I sure hope I did"

GM says, "Everyone lost at least one rank because I have plot hooks for everybody."

Garrick arrives, looking for booty.

[S7S] Garrick asks, "um, Arr, gentlemen?"

[S7S] GM wave!

[S7S] GM says, "Er, hmm. Maga hasn't logged on at all for a week."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hmm"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "yeah, I'm not actually sure what their deal is"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "Jacqueline was on very briefly the other day"

[S7S] GM says, "Though Jacq logged on yesterday."

[S7S] GM says, "Ah, OK."

[S7S] GM says, "Well, let's assume it's the three of you, and if he shows up later, yay."

Bobby rolls 2 6-sided dice: 1 3| 4

GM says, "So! When we last left our intrepid adventurers, they had fought off a swarm of red-colored men in the Sky of Stones, beating them in the end, but the ship was crippled."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Hey, I think I lost exactly four."

[S7S] GM says, "Woo"

Garrick directs the crew to try and put out the fire on the quarterdeck.

GM says, "Most of the men attacking you flew off or fell off, but one guy managed to fall to the deck unconscious."

Bobby exclaims, "Hey! We caught one!"

Garrick exclaims (at Bobby), "Tie him up, then!"

Bobby exclaims, "Good idea!"

Geoffrey goes downstairs to see how Federic's cabin survived the attack, and to check on Reginald.

Bobby pulls down some ropes that probably used to be really important before they were snapped by having gliders crash into them and ineptly binds the hands of their captive.

Bobby exclaims (at Captive), "Hey! You! Wake up!"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "so, we all recovered damage. does the ship?"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, though I think there might not be explicit rules about this."

[S7S] GM says (to Chad), "(hint hint)"

[S7S] GM says, "I'm going to declare that you manage to fix everything but the Plot Hook, i.e. the jib sail ;-)"

[S7S] Garrick says, "ha ha"

[S7S] GM says, "(normally, I think you'd roll 2d6 like the rest of you)"

[S7S] GM says, "Oh, right:"

Garrick and the crew gradually put things to rights, but the jib mast is hopelessly splintered.

Bobby asks, "It's not working! Can we throw a bucket of sky on him?"

GM says, "You spend a half-hour fixing the ship, but, sadly, when you go to retrieve the extra canvas you stowed, you find a nice neat dagger slice through it, rendering your attempts to fix the jib sail somewhat ineffective."

Garrick says (to Bobby), "Have someone help you take him down to the brig."

[S7S] GM says, "Or, sure, that ;-)"

Garrick says, "We can talk to him when he wakes up."

Geoffrey says (to Reginald), "good afternoon, sir. I believe it is safe to come out from under the bed now"

[S7S] Garrick says, "my basic thought was that extra canvas is easier than extra masts :)"

Bobby says (to Garrick), "Oh, alright."

Kail slowly shakes his head, the looks up in surprise at the group of you.

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

[S7S] Kail says, "er, 'then'."

Reginald exclaims (at Geoffrey), "But my maps! They're gone!"

Garrick says, "Or, now is good."

[S7S] GM asks, "Anyone?"

Garrick says, "So, friend."

Garrick says, "You know, many skyship captains don't bother to take prisoners."

Garrick says, "They just toss them overboard, so the crew can take bets on how loud they scream as they fall."

Garrick asks (of Crew), "You guys like a good bet, right?"

Bobby asks (of Garrick), "But then how do you ask them questions?"

Kail looks at you intently and bunches up his nose, like he's trying to understand.

Garrick asks, "So, I think my friends and I want to hear some really good reasons you should stay in our comfey brig, and not find out how deep the sky is?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "luckily I learned all about interrogation as a Falcon, if you want me to roll something :)"

Kail says, "Deep... sky? Edge? No, no good, right."

[S7S] GM says, "Sure."

[S7S] Garrick says, "and Sky Captain"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "2d6, right?"

[S7S] GM says, "And the World of Tomorrow"

[S7S] Garrick says, "ha ha"

Garrick rolls 2 6-sided dice: 3 3 | 6 + 6 = 12

Kail rolls 2 6-sided dice: 5 4| 9

Kail looks sufficiently cowed.

Garrick asks (of Bobby), "What did you want to know?"

[S7S] GM says, "If you want to skip the interrogation, we can just summarize what you find out."

[S7S] GM says, "(given the long pauses ;-)"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "uh, sure"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I'm waiting for Bobby to take part"

[S7S] Garrick says, "but sure"

Bobby says (to Garrick), "Um... oh... uh...."

Bobby exclaims, "Where did he come from! Why's he here! Where did the maps go!"

Bobby asks, "Who sent him? What were they after?"

Garrick says (to Kail), "All good questions."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Sorry, got distracted briefly."

Kail exclaims, "Here home!"

Kail says, "Live in rocks, get stuff from ships."

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "I think I've already forgotten the events of last time -- did our two crewmembers flee in a different ship? or with different-colored gliders or something?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "they fled in a blue glider, as I recall"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, they flew off in a glider from beneath the ship."

[S7S] Garrick says, "that they had hidden in the ship"

Kail says, "Some people tell us when ship comes, which help."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "oh, ok"

Bobby asks, "Who?"

Garrick asks (of Kail), "Where did you meet those people?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "so it doesn't necessarily seem like there's another group they're allied with, just that they took the opportunity to split when the battle came up"

[S7S] Garrick says, "maybe, right"

Kail says, "Funny people with black and white clothes. Red underneath, sometimes."

Bobby asks, "Like clowns?"

Kail looks at you uncomprehendingly.

Kail says, "Big cloaks, black and white."

[S7S] Garrick says, "shoot, now I wish I had read the world chapter more thoroughly"

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

Bobby asks, "Did they have white powder on their faces and carry pig's bladders that go spwaaaaaaaa?"

[S7S] GM asks, "Want to roll something? Like, your nationality or some such?"

Kail says, "Ha ha spwaaaaa! Hee"

Kail says, "No, no spwaaa."

[S7S] Garrick says, "as a Falcon, I dealt with all sorts of visitors to our fair city"

Garrick rolls 2 6-sided dice: 1 2 | 3 + 4 = 7

Bobby says, "Aw. So not very good clowns, anyway."

Bobby asks, "Did one of them look like <one fo the two crewmembers> or like <the other guy>?"

Kail says, "No, those men. These women, mostly."

[S7S] GM says, "Average? Nothing in particular that comes to mind, no."

Bobby asks, "Oh. Did the women tell you we were coming?"

Garrick asks, "So, they told you to get stuff from us?"

Garrick asks, "Did they want you to bring them anything?"

Kail says, "Yes, said ship come, said could take what we wanted. Use mud packs."

Kail frowns.

Kail asks, "Mud on ship?"

Bobby asks, "Mud packs?"

Kail looks down, shakes his head. "No more mud pack. Probably drop."

Kail exclaims, "Make ship fall when dry!"

Garrick waves to Toth, who starts sending crewmen to check the ship for mud.

Bobby exclaims, "Oh! Alchemy!"

GM says, "At that moment, there's a *shudder* and the ship lists to the starboard."

Kail scrambles to keep his balance, but with his hands tied, he falls over.

Thoth exclaims, "Mud splatters!"

[S7S] Garrick exclaims, "Toth is mute!"

[S7S] GM exclaims, "Whoops!"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "he's got good sign language"

[S7S] Garrick says, "no one is entirely sure how he tells the crew to do anything. it's one of them mysteries"

Thoth waves in a manner that with years of experience you interpret as "Mud spatters!"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "two words .. first word sounds like .."

Garrick rushes to the starboard rail and looks at the ship.

Bobby asks (of Kail), "Where's the mud?"

GM says (to Garrick), "It's leaning that direction, so you're almost looking straight down into the Blue, but you do see splats of mud on the bit of the side you can see."

GM says, "Big drippy messes that are starting to congeal."

Garrick exclaims, "Water! Ropes!"

Garrick starts fashioning a harness out of some ropes, which he hands to the crew to run through a pulley.

Garrick says, "I'll go over the edge, you guys start handing me buckets."

GM says, "The ship starts to drop as it lists to the side, dropping out of the channel and into the rocks."

Garrick says, "Maybe if I can keep it wet it'll stop working."

Garrick says, "Good thing I spent that time as a kid in the Sweetwater."

Bobby climbs down the side of the ship to get closer to the mud.

[S7S] GM asks, "What are the other two of you doing?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay, Skyship Captain for the ropes and Crailese for the sweetwater experience doing stuff with water"

Garrick rolls 2 6-sided dice: 1 1 | 2 + 4 = 6

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hmm, I think I go below and see if I can help out from a window down there"

[S7S] Garrick says, "sheesh"

GM says, "The crew breaks out the water buckets and starts passing them over the side."

Bobby sniffs it, swirls his finger around in it, and generally seems less concerned with the danger than curious about this mysterious substance.

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, 6 is below-average, so you're not making much headway."

[S7S] GM exclaims, "Oh, but hey!"

GM tosses Garrick a training point.

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "um, yay?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I'm going to roll Shadow Mage to analyze the mud."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "you can redeem it for cash and valuable prizes"

Bobby rolls 2 6-sided dice: 5 3 | 8 + 2 = 10

Bobby rubs a bit in between his fingers.

GM says (to Bobby), "It smells like acetone mixed with a thick clay. The clay itself is (you've gathered) the same sort of clay that forms the bedrock of all the floating islands in the Seven Skies, and, some have theorized, the reason Bluewood doesn't float above Islands."

Bobby says, "Hey, that's not water in this mud."

GM says, "You're surprised to see so much; usually it's only found at the very core of Islands, and trying to dig down (or up) that deep is pretty difficult."

Bobby shouts, "Hey, prisoner guy! Where'd you get this stuff from?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Hmm. Do I know of anything that it might be especially soluble in? Anything we'd have access to?"

Kail, jammed up against the rail and trying to hold on with his feet so he doesn't fall over, calls out "The cloak women!"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Alcohol, perhaps?"

[S7S] GM says, "Sounds good to me."

[S7S] Garrick says, "don't ask the crew to give up their rum"

[S7S] Garrick says, "sounds good, pass it down"

Bobby exclaims, "Hey, guys! You just gotta pour out your rum!"

Bobby exclaims, "It'll wash this stuff right off!"

Bobby says (to Kail), "Y'know, I bet you could sell this mud for more than the cloak women were giving you."

GM says (to Geoffrey), "Meanwhile, you've managed to lean out a few windows and scrape off some of the mud you find close to you. Each time you do, the ship shakes a bit."

Garrick starts yelling commands to Toth, who turns and gestures to the crew.

Geoffrey frowns at Bobby's comment, and takes some of Federic's cheaper vintages out from the case where he's hidden them underneath his socks.

[S7S] GM says, "Hee hee"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay, using my Crailese and Skyship Captain still, and since Toth is helping me he's adding his Skysailor, and he's using his Hide the Contraband! to find all the rum the sailors are trying to hide"

[S7S] GM says, "Ha ha yay"

[S7S] GM exclaims, "Sure!"

Garrick rolls 3 6-sided dice: 4 4 4 | 12 + 6 = 18

[S7S] GM says, "Nice! Go ahead and rp."

(From Garrick) Toth directs the men to start handing buckets of rum down to Garrick. Every now and then he grabs one of the sailors and shakes him, and the sailor sheepishly hands over another bottle from up his sleeve or in his shirt.

Garrick takes the rum and starts spraying it over the mud, everywhere he can reach. As the mud washes off, the ship begins to sway alarmingly, but Garrick uses the motion to swing farther along the side and wash off mud he couldn't reach before.

GM exclaims, "The descent of the ship slows down, but you're still heading to the rocks below you--you estimate you'll just smash into them before you get the ship completely under control!"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "These are flying rocks?"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "anyone have any ideas?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Are there lots of them, or a few big ones?"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, the floating rocks below you."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "we could drop off something heavy to try to lighten the ship"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "like Reginald"

[S7S] GM says (to Bobby), "You want to spend a style point to say which? ;-)"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee hee"

[S7S] Bobby says (to GM), "I'm not sure that my magic's enough to move them out of the way in either case."

[S7S] GM says, "Well, let's see."

[S7S] GM says, "How about we say that you could lessen the damage a bit at Expert (11), significantly at Master (13), and completely at Remarkable (19)."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Or we could all jump off the ship."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "we could flee in boats"

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "The rocks float, after all!"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I shoulda grabbed my wingcloak before I got in the rope harness"

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

[system] * Scheduled database dump beginning now (Sat Feb 16 12:45:42 2008).

[system] * Scheduled database dump completed (Sat Feb 16 12:45:54 2008).

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "And I bet steering one rock you're riding on is easier than shoving a whole bunch of them out of the way!"

[S7S] GM says, "Ha ha ha"

[S7S] GM exclaims, "Sure!"

Bobby exclaims, "All orphans, abandon ship!"

Bobby kicks out on the rope he was dangling off the ship from and swings over towardone of the larger floating rocks -- and lets go!

[S7S] GM says, "Awesome."

Geoffrey says, "it is a good thing I am used to packing up Federic's possessions for a speedy exit"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Everyone else is free to keep trying to save the ship if they want, of course."

[S7S] GM asks, "You're trying to clear rocks away from its path still, right?"

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "Uh... right! Yeah!"

[S7S] GM says, "Ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Bobby says, "That's exactly why I lept off the ship and onto the passing debris, and I shall now roll for it."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "And I imagine my mount may even qualify as scenery?"

[S7S] GM says, "Oh, definitely."

Bobby rolls 3 6-sided dice: 4 1 3 | 8 + 2 = 10

[S7S] Bobby says, "Aw."

Garrick keeps washing off mud, and yells, "Toth, my wingcloak!"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I forgot to add style ahead of time. But then, I wouldn't likely have added enough to help."

[S7S] Garrick says, "good thing I decided not to take a vehicle forte, cause I think we're gonna lose this one"

[S7S] GM says (to Bobby), "It'd get you above 11."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "what does a style point buy after the roll?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "four style points buy you a +2"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I'd throw in 2, if I can"

Bobby jumps from rock to rock, kicking each one off in a different direction.

[S7S] Garrick says, "(if someone else does the other 2)"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "sure"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay, we provide the 4 style points, if the GM allows that"

Bobby doesn't actually take care about *which* direction anything is going, though. Just so long as it's moving! Somewhere!

[S7S] GM says, "OK by me."

[S7S] Geoffrey asks (of Garrick), "did you take a Feat of something?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "OK, I'll toss in four style."

[S7S] GM says (to Geoffrey), "Disarm."

[S7S] Garrick says, "yeah"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "oh, hmm, not much help here"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Between us, that's 14, right?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "sadly not"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Which reduces damage 'significantly'?"

[S7S] GM asks (of bobby), "Did you mean to spend 4 points for a +2 yourself, and someone else to spend 4 points for another +2?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Oh, I thought someone said they did."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Either way, I'm spending my 4."

[S7S] Garrick says, "right, we're adding 8 points total"

[S7S] Garrick says, "for a +4"

[S7S] GM says, "I think Geoffrey thought you wanted to spend two points, not get a +2."

[S7S] Bobby says, "I thought Geoffrey and Garrick were providing two points each."

[S7S] Garrick says, "we are"

[S7S] GM exclaims, "So, yes! Go ahead and rp some rocks smashing into the ship, but not as many as there could be!"

[S7S] GM exclaims, "That also works!"

Bobby's smashes rocks into rocks! And those rocks break into littler rocks! And those rocks hit other rocks! And then some of the littlest rocks smash into the ship!

Bobby exclaims, "The rocks back on land are nowhere near as neat as the rocks out here in the sky!"

GM says, "And with that, the ship stabilizes. It's not exactly water-worthy any more, but at least it's still in one piece."

Garrick climbs back up into the ship.

Bobby ends up straddling a Bobby-sized rock which he wobblily steers back over the ship and onto the deck.

Garrick looks around for Kail.

Kail has finally managed to get an arm out of the ropes, and is clinging to the rail.

Kail says (to Bobby), "Good job! You want to live in rocks with us? Be perfect."

[S7S] Bobby asks (of Kail), "OK! Where do you fly your rocks to?"

Garrick walks over to Kail, and leans over him so that Kail is forced to lean back over the rail.

Bobby asks (of Kail), "OK! Where do you fly your rocks to?"

Garrick asks, "So, anything else you think we should know?"

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "are you sure they can actually fly their rocks?"

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "I mean, don't they need sails?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I'm assuming they can't."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Bobbly is assuming the opposite."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "oh ok"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee"

Kail says, "Um."

Garrick asks, "Did the cloak ladies want you to bring them anything? Where would you meet them again?"

Kail asks, "You want to see black cloaks? Brother talks to them. Maybe he take you?"

Garrick asks, "That sounds good. Where is he?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Also, now I am imagining a new kind of ship. The subcelene, which achieves variable buoyancy by means of a mudtank which is alternately mixed with acetone and dried."

Kail says, "Home! I fly there. Um, usually."

Bobby exclaims, "We can fly!"

Kail asks, "I go with you?"

Bobby exclaims, "Sure!"

Bobby looks at Garrick.

Garrick asks, "Okay, sailing crew, aloft! Where's the carpenter?"

Bobby says, "Uh, if the Captain says so."

Garrick asks (of Bobby), "That's a good question. Where is our captain?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "(But I am sure he would have no problems with an eleven year old boy making executive decisions on his behalf.)"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Also, hmm. I thought Garrick was Captain."

Geoffrey says, "I believe he was down in his captain worrying about the maps those crewmembers stole"

[S7S] Garrick says, "nope, Reginald is"

Geoffrey says, "(er, cabin)"

Garrick says, "Ah, right."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Huh. I thought he was just the owner/sponsor/etc."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "also, did the crewmembers or the bluemen steal the maps?"

[S7S] GM says, "The crewmembers."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Were the bluemen the new miscolored wingmen who showed up right at the very end?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Or were those the red ones?"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "hmm, redmen?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "wait, so were there two colors of wingmen? I thought we'd said there was only one"

[S7S] Garrick says, "maybe bluemen only live in the jungle, I forget"

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

[S7S] Bobby says (to Geoffrey), "I thought that what made the two at the end so special was that they weren't like all the rest."

[S7S] GM says, "There are 'bluemen' who live in the Jungle Sky."

[S7S] GM says, "There are 'rockmen' who live in the Sky of Stones; they are reddish."

[S7S] Garrick says (to bobby), "the blue thing at the end was the glider of the crewmembers, I thought"

[S7S] GM says, "There were two crewmembers who were plotting."

[S7S] Bobby says (to Garick), "Right, that's what I was thinking of."

[S7S] GM says, "The two crewmembers stole the map, and took off in a blue-colored glider they had stowed on board."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "okey doke"

[S7S] Garrick says, "ah ha"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay, shoot"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I was hoping the rockmen had the map and we could use this guy's brother to get it back"

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "did we want to go after those guys?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "And they are probably somehow associated with these mysterious wimming, since this attack seemed to be part of their intended plan."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "that's true"

[S7S] Bobby says, "So I figure that if we can meet these fine upstanding ladies, we can maybe find out what that plan might be."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Since they can't know too much less about the big picture than Kail here."

[S7S] Garrick says, "sounds good"

Garrick orders the crew to make sail, following Kail's directions. Then he has a chat with the carpenter about the holes from the rocks and the missing jib mast.

[S7S] Garrick says, "I"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I'll spend a style point to say the mast is what's really broken"

[S7S] GM says, "Sure."

[S7S] GM says, "Oh, right:"

GM tosses two style points to Bobby for abandoning ship for a floating rock.

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "Woo!"

GM says, "You get fairly close to where Kail directs you, but the rocks are too thick to sail the whole ship into the last bit, so those that want to follow him on wingcloak and glider to his home."

[S7S] GM says, "And I'll just go ahead and say that there's no particular danger here."

Bobby climbs on the rock that he rode back to the ship.

GM says, "(and rock)"

Garrick gets out his wingcloak, and straps it on.

Garrick says (to Toth), "Wait here for us."

GM says, "And meanwhile, the carpenter and crew try to fix the holes in the ship."

Geoffrey sails over with the small boat of crewmembers.

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "I wonder if you can make a sky 'lifeboat' by hanging a regular boat by rope from a floating rock."

Kail leads you around some rocks and you find a whole network of floating rocks, connected to each other by ropes and a few bridges, where a handful or rockmen scramble from one rock to another.

Kail says, "There's some amount of consternation when they see you, but Kail reassures them, and leads you to his family's rock, which is a hollowed-out larger rock with crude accoutrements inside. Behind it trails a flat rock where they've created a sort of garden."

Garrick says, "Very...nice."

Bobby says, "Neat."

Bobby says, "Better than a treehouse."

Kail says, "This Piet! He talk to cloak women."

Bobby exclaims, "Hi, Pete!"

Piet frowns but greets you all.

Garrick says (to Piet), "Hi, we'd like to hear about the cloak women."

Piet sighs.

[S7S] Garrick asks, "um, did we bring any trade goods?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Is this a world where everyone conveniently speaks English?"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "does the ship have a cargo?"

[S7S] GM says, "Sure, if you like."

[S7S] (from Bobby) GM says, "For a style point."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "and is this a minor or major fact?"

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

[S7S] GM says, "Well, the ship isn't far; you could always go back and grab some stuff."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "right, my question is: did the ship just happen to be loaded with, um, fruits and cloth before we left port?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "and how many style points will it take to make it so? :)"

[S7S] GM says, "You already said you were bringing extra cloth (for the sails), one style point will get you other stuff like fruit."

[S7S] Bobby says, "I am sure Reginald's quarters were conveniently stocked with fine clothes and other valuables."

[S7S] GM says, "Of course, what they really want is alcohol."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Garrick says, "sadly, they forced us to dump ours overboard"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "well, we could teach them about stills"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay, 1 style point for fruit"

Garrick says (to Piet), "You like apple? We have many apple on ship. Everyone here eat apple."

Garrick says, "You make us happy, we friends. Friends share apple."

Piet perks up.

Piet asks, "Apples, yes. Trade apples for information?"

Bobby whispers (to Geoffrey), "Why's he talking funny?"

Garrick says, "Sure thing."

Piet nods.

[S7S] Garrick says, "that was where Piet was supposed to speak perfectly fluently and explain that his brother is kinda dumb"

[S7S] GM says, "Ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hee hee"

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "Hmm. If they've got a garden, they've got soil. Which is presumably made from the same materials as the rocks."

Garrick asks, "So, what did the cloak women want?"

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "I wonder what fruits and vegetables that are grown from flying rock soil are like."

Piet says, "Cloak women show up, hmm, two, maybe three seasons ago."

Gunther arrives, looking for booty.

Piet says, "Leave us alone, mostly, sometimes trade things."

Piet says, "Sometimes know when ship comes."

Piet shakes his head. "Not like them, though. Tricky, look mean."

Piet asks, "But what can we do?"

[Crows-Nest] Geoffrey says, "corn that hovers over your plate"

Bobby asks, "Did they tell you that our ship was coming?"

Piet says (to Kail), "<quick chatter>"

Kail says (to Piet), "<chatter back>"

Bobby asks, "What?"

Bobby asks, "What did he say?"

Piet says, "Yes, your ship they tell us about just this morning."

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "If Sargent were here, he'd probably have a picture of flying corms for us."

Garrick asks, "Anything different from usual?"

[S7S] * Gunther has joined the channel.

Piet says, "Well, wrong about your ability! Kail says you lost many men."

Piet says, "We lost."

Piet says, "Darn tenses."

[S7S] Garrick says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I was hoping he wouldn't bring that up"

[Crows-Nest] Garrick says, "mm, toasted goat cheddar sandwich"

Piet says, "Sometimes they come here, sometimes I meet them at Jacino Rock, but one day I meet them at night, follow them back."

Bobby says, "Yeah. I guess that can happen in that line of work."

Piet asks, "So I know where they live. Not trust them. You fight?"

Garrick asks, "Where to?"

Garrick says, "We might fight them. Not sure yet."

Piet says (to Bobby), "Well, many trained to fake fall, land on rock and recover later."

Piet says (to Bobby), "They show up again eventually. Or not; less to feed if so."

Bobby says, "Yeah, some people feel that way about kids, too."

Bobby says, "Do the women ever ask you for anything? Or give you anything? Besides the mud, I mean."

Bobby asks, "Do they trade stuff?"

[S7S] GM says, "Phone; just a sec..."

[S7S] Bobby says, "I wonder what kind of an apple tab I'm racking up here."

[S7S] Piet says, "Hee."

Piet says, "Yes, sometimes trade for very red rocks, things we take from ships."

Bobby asks, "Very red rocks? Like jewels?"

Piet says, "No, not jewels, very red rocks very, um, floaty."

Bobby says, "Oh, huh."

Piet says, "Put lots of stuff on them; still float."

Piet says, "Good for bridges, but sometimes we have extra."

Piet says, "Got arrows from us once with sleep juice."

Garrick asks, "Sleep juice?"

Bobby says, "Like apple juice, but sleepier."

Piet says, "Um, stuff for hunting. Makes birds sleepy, land on rock. Kill bird, it fall, can't eat. Sleepy bird land where you can get 'im."

Bobby asks, "They don't just fall out of the sky?"

Piet says, "Right--shoot bird, it falls, lands in blue somewhere. Shoot bird with sleep juice, it get sleepy, stops on rock to sleep."

Bobby says, "Neat."

Gunther has disconnected.

Gunther has connected.

Gunther disappears through an invisible gap in the MUD. You think you may have heard the sounds of chatting before the gap closed again.

[S7S] GM asks, "Alrighty; anything else?"

[S7S] GM asks, "Plans?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Plans?"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "well, I assume we want to ask how we can get in touch with the women"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Don't be silly."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "do we want to go in fighting, or try talking first?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "otherwise there wasn't much point in coming here"

[S7S] Garrick says, "we're obviously dealing with the women next, yeah"

[S7S] Bobby says (to Geoffrey), "He did say they followed them once, and know where they live."

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, he knows where they live... right."

Gunther arrives, looking for booty.

[S7S] * Gunther has joined the channel.

[S7S] Bobby says, "We go in, catch one, and then make her talk! It worked on Kail."

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Heck, he's practically an ally now."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "well, if they're in league with the guys who stole the maps I dunno why they'd talk"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "unless we want to offer to buy the maps back or something"

[S7S] Bobby asks (of Geoffrey), "Because we're, uh, very... convincing?"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee."

Piet arranges to get the apples, is pleased.

[S7S] Bobby asks, "OK, so do we want subterfuge instead?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Deception? Sneakiness?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "that sounds exciting"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I can play little lost orphan and try for sympathy."

[S7S] Bobby says, "'Waaa, my daddy's ship got crashed by mean wingmen and now I'm stranded, waaa'."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "I vill be the famous Inspector Montrof! Here to investigate the hideous murder last year in Colrona. Where's my fake mustache?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay, let's try the ophan gambit"

Garrick asks (of Piet), "Can you tell us where to find the cloak women?"

Piet nods, writes down directions.

Garrick says, "Okay, let's go, you can have the apples and we'll be off."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "so, we hide the ship and head in in gliders/cloaks again?"

GM says, "And, <zzzzip> around nightfall, you carefully moor the ship about as close as you dare to the place Piet told you about. It's a rock about the size of a city block, with a building on top that looks sort of like a temple. In the distance, you catch the sun pass behind the mist of a small micro-island, where Piet says they also spend some of their time."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "And hide behind rocks?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I am not really sure what the ultimate goal of the orphan gambit is, exactly."

[S7S] Garrick says, "me either"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "I presumably get inside. Then what?"

Garrick says, "Let's go check out that micro-island. We'll fly in from beneath it in the dark and see what's there."

[S7S] Bobby says, "I guess I will either hope the GM reveals something or spend points to make stuff up."

Garrick says, "Maybe we can find someone to ask questions of."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "presumably the ultimate goal here is to get the maps back"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Oh, right. The maps."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "and/or find out why they attacked us, but I assume that was "to get the maps""

[S7S] Bobby says, "I thought the ultimate goal was to find out What's Going On."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "I guess we could also find out what they're maps to"

[S7S] Bobby says, "And why these maps are so important."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Because I assume Reginald's been at least two or three faced about this whole affair."

[S7S] Garrick says, "yeah"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "do people like my plan?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "yes"

[S7S] Garrick says, "awesome"

Garrick picks a few crewmembers, including Toth, to come with the glider, and straps his wingcloak back on.

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "Inspector Montrof? Sure!"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "anything done under cover of darkness is a good plan"

Garrick asks (of Bobby), "You riding your rock again, or using the glider?"

Bobby says (to Garrick), "I'm riding Roy."

[S7S] Garrick says (to bobby), "that's my backup for after we get captured"

Garrick asks, "Roy?"

Bobby says, "Yeah."

Garrick says, "I hear things named Roy tend to fall a lot."

Bobby says, "Falling isn't always bad."

Bobby says, "It's just the landing part that's sometimes bad."

GM says, "Getting closer to the micro-island, you see that something's... wrong with it. It seems to be tumbling end over end, which you've never seen an island do before."

Garrick says, "True"

Garrick says, "Okay, sun's down, let's go."

Leik_ frowns.

Garrick dives off the ship and heads down to well below the level of the micro-island.

Leik_ says, "That island looks... familiar, somehow."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Anyone remember who Leik is?"

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "Sargent's warmaster guy?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "I think he came from a small island somewhere"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee, yes."

[S7S] Garrick says, "I guess we should read his backstory"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Oh, right."

[S7S] Bobby says, "I was searching the NPC parts of my brain."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "or was abandoned on an island or had a romantic relationship with an island or something"

[S7S] GM says, "Ha ha ha"

[S7S] Bobby says (to Geoffrey), "Probably all three."

Bobby asks (of Leik_), "Have you been here before?"

Garrick wonders why the glider didn't follow.

Garrick flies in a holding pattern.

[S7S] GM asks, "Which glider?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I thought we had a glider"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "or a boat, maybe?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "whatever the people without wingcloaks are using to cokme along on this trip"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, they're following."

Leik_ says, "It's like *half* of my old island."

Geoffrey asks, "how are we going to land on that if it's spinning?"

Bobby asks, "How can anybody else be on it if it's spinning?"

Bobby asks, "Wouldn't they fall off? Or get sick?"

Geoffrey asks, "you think it was shattered, like Crailwuz?"

Garrick says, "Hmm, interesting."

Garrick flies under the micro-island to see if there's anything weird there.

GM says (to Garrick), "It's still surrounded by the Mist, but peering up through the clouds with your telescope, you watch as it tumbles above you. There's clearly what used to be a top and a bottom to the island, but as the 'top' swings into view, you see things moving around on the surface and not falling off."

[S7S] Garrick asks, "do the "things" include people?"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, they're pretty distant, but could be."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "I guess it's got intrinsic gravity"

[S7S] Bobby says, "THis is probably related to how they managed to acquire large quantities of mud."

Garrick watches the micro-island, silently timing its rate of tumble like he learned to do at the Academy. As it comes around again, he swoops up to land on the "top". He first heads towards the middle, but in the Mist he feints towards the right edge.

[S7S] Garrick exclaims, "okay, Wingman, Falcon#, Misdirection!"

GM says, "As the edge swings into view, you see that it's covered with lines and platforms, like it's being mined."

[S7S] Geoffrey says (to Bobby), "oh yeah"

Garrick rolls 3 6-sided dice: 4 4 6 | 14 + 6 = 20

[S7S] GM says, "Nice! It's very tricky as gravity switches below you and what's stationary changes, but you manage to navigate it perfectly."

Garrick does a flip and a tumble and lands feet-first on the tumbling island.

[S7S] GM says, "Hmm, scale."

[S7S] GM says, "The island it total is big enough to have a small city on it."

[S7S] GM says, "A few miles across, I guess."

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay"

maga arrives, looking for booty.

Garrick says, "It would have been nice to figure out a way to bring the others, I suppose."

GM says (to Garrick), "You get a bit queasy if you watch the sky, but if you focus on your immediate surroundings, you do OK."

[S7S] GM exclaims, "Maga!"

[S7S] maga says, "abject apologies, guys; for some reason that utterly escapes me I thought this was on a Sunday"

[S7S] GM says, "No problem."

[S7S] GM says, "(anyone with a glider can make it if they want; you could sail the boat into it too, but there's no obvious place to land)"

[S7S] maga says, "(can I just drop in, or is that a problem? also, what's going on?)"

[S7S] GM says, "Let's see."

[S7S] Bobby says (to maga), "First we talked to the wingmen who attacked the ship. Turns out they're just your typical rock-dwelling raiders, with no particular grudge against us."

[S7S] GM says, "You interrogated a rockman, found out your ship had been covered with bluewood-negating mud, managed to get it off before the ship crashed into the rocks below."

[S7S] Bobby says, "We trades them some apples for information, and they told us about some women who wear black and white cloaks (and red all under) who live nearby who sometimes give them tips about ships that will be coming, and who had told them about us."

[S7S] Bobby says, "So under cover of darkness, we went to investigate where they said the women lived and found a mini-island (just a few miles across) out here in the middle of the rockfield. Spinning head-over-heels, with what appear to be people on it."

[S7S] Bobby says, "So Garrick just landed on it and is investigating."

GM says (to Garrick), "You climb a hill and see a building a little ways off with a light in the window."

[S7S] GM says, "(the rest of you can sail in too, if you like)"

[S7S] GM says, "(/glide in)"

Garrick looks into the sky to try and spot his friends.

Federic swaggers up onto deck, looking somewhat confused

[S7S] GM says, "(oh, and you've moored the main ship where it won't be seen, and have moved in closer on a smaller boat and a few gliders/wingcloaks)"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "anyone else coming?"

Geoffrey sail in in the glider, probably steered by Federic

Federic asks, "Ho for glory! Geoffrey, what on earth does this nasty little lever do?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I guess the worst that happens is that I get smacked by the island and tumble off into the void."

[S7S] Bobby says, "And then have a series of solo adventures in which I befriend the rockmen and learn important life lessons and ultimately return years later as an adult."

[S7S] GM says, "Hee."

Geoffrey says, "I believe that may be the emergency sail release, sir"

[S7S] Garrick says, "ha"

[S7S] GM says, "I'll let you all follow Garrick in, since he rolled so well you can figure out how it's done."

[S7S] GM says, "(and yay)"

GM says, "So, you're on the ground, there's a house with a light on in the near distance."

Bobby swoops in on his rock, which he crashes into a tree.

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Hmm. Does the rock stop floating once it's within the island's gravity?"

[S7S] GM says, "Oh, hmm."

[S7S] GM says, "Probably so, actually."

Bobby exclaims, "Roy! Roy!"

Bobby exclaims, "Speak to me, Roy!"

Bobby exclaims (at Garrick), "You were right!"

Bobby says, "I will never name anything Roy ever, ever again."

[S7S] GM says, "Hee."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

Geoffrey climbs out of the boat when it lands, grateful to be on (sort of) solid land again.

Geoffrey asks, "I wonder who'd want to live here?"

Garrick says (to Geoffrey), "Let's go ask whoever lives there."

Garrick asks (of Bobby), "You knock on the door, we'll hide in the shadows, and when whoever opens it we'll jump in, okay?"

Federic says, "I take it that just going up and knocking is out of the question."

[S7S] Federic says, "(somewhat laggy)"

Bobby exclaims, "OK!"

Garrick says (to Federic), "Knocking is an essential part of my strategy."

Federic saunters round to look for a back door

Bobby rubs some dirt on his face, to give himself that pitiful lost child look. It's not really noticeable with all the rest of the dirt, though.

[S7S] GM says, "Heh."

Bobby shuffles up to the door, sobbing, and knocks.

Garrick hides in the shadows, possibly behind a convenient shrubbery.

Nun opens the door. "Yes, can I... oh my."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "a NUN"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "FLYING NUNS"

Bobby says, "HepmeImlsIdonknwaaaaaaaaa."

[S7S] Bobby says (to Geoffery), "Good heavens, you're right."

Bobby looks up at the nun through teary eyes.

Nun says, "Where did *you* come from? I thought the mines were closed."

[system] * Scheduled database dump beginning now (Sat Feb 16 14:45:42 2008).

[system] * Scheduled database dump completed (Sat Feb 16 14:45:54 2008).

Bobby asks, "The ship! But men came out of the sky and they broke it and I fell and I don't know where my Mommy is and I fell on a rock and the rock fell here and I'm lost and I'm hungry and can you help please?"

Nun exclaims, "Oh!"

[S7S] Federic says, "decree minor fact: there is no back door, but there *is* a water-butt and an open pantry window"

[S7S] GM says, "Sounds OK to me."

Nun says, "Come with me. Are you hungry? You can have dinner with the other kids."

[S7S] Bobby says, "I knew it."

Bobby exclaims, "But I don't want to be with other kids! I want my Mommy!"

Federic scrambles up the water-butt and peers inside to check that the coast is clear

[S7S] Bobby says, "Right. So, time for a plan."

Garrick sneaks out of the bushes and runs out of the night. "Bobby! There you are!"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I shall raise an army of orphans."

Garrick exclaims (at Nun), "Thank you so much for finding my, um, nephew!"

Nun says, "But there are..."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

Nun blink.s

Garrick says, "Let's get him inside and warmed up and out of this night air."

[S7S] Nun says, "(er, blinks)"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha more"

Bobby blinks too.

[S7S] Federic says, "and I shall seduce the nuns"

Garrick puts and arm around Bobby's shoulders and starts pushing him through the door.

Geoffrey climbs in the back way after Federic.

Bobby goes along willingly.

Nun asks, "What? No! You can't come in here! I'm conducting some important business. And who are you?"

Garrick push push. "Why, I am Inspector Montrof! The famous detective!"

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "Yes!"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha ha"

GM says (to Federic_and_Geoffrey), "Meanwhile, you make it into a small room in the back, and peer into the next room. There, sitting at the table looking bored, are Belcher and Hooke."

Federic scrambles inside, puts his foot in a sago pudding, and falls over amid a rain of preserve jars

Garrick says, "Just a little of your fmous charity, sister, for two poor shipwreckees."

Federic draws the first six inches of his sabre with a ferocious grin

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "who are the guys who stole our maps?"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, those two."

[S7S] Garrick says, "Belcher and Hooke, I thought"

[S7S] Geoffrey exclaims, "exactly!"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hooke's on first"

Nun is pushed aside as the two of you barge into the foyer, but she moves around to block you from the rest of the house. "Sir! I'm afraid I will have to ask you to leave at once!"

Garrick says (to Nun), "But you were about to let him in by himself."

Bobby clings to Garrick.

Garrick says, "I promise, I won't eat anything"

Nun says, "If you are hungry, I can take you where there is some dinner being served."

Geoffrey says (to Federic), "I suppose they may come and investigate the noise"

Garrick asks, "Oh, it's not here?"

Federic says (to Geoffrey), "do the dastards know no shame? First they betray us foully, and then they inveigle themselves into the homes of poor innocent nuns"

Bobby nods, but doesn't let go of Garrick.

Geoffrey says, "and if not, we can throw the sago pudding at them"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I hope no one in this group is religious."

Belcher asks (of Hooke), "Why don't *you* go look what it was?"

Garrick looks over the nun's shoulder. "What's that I hear?"

Hooke says (to Belcher), "I just want to get out of here. Crazy sky makes me nauseous."

Nun says, "Some business associates of mine."

Garrick exclaims, "Maybe they have a ship and can help us get back!"

Garrick pushes the nun aside and heads further in, Bobby in tow.

Federic exclaims (at Belcher), "You unspeakable dastards! First you besmirch the our ship's good name by treason, desertion and treachery, and now you inveigle yourselves into the home of an innocent nun!"

Nun asks, "You're... stuck here?"

Federic exclaims, "Prepare to meet the fate you have so justly earned!"

Hooke blinks, then knocks over his chair backwards as he stumbles to his feet.

Geoffrey waits a few minutes for Federic to distract them, and then moves around to cut off their exit.

Federic unsheathes his sword with a slightly-too-elaborate flourish

Garrick says, "It sounds like your friends are busy! Let's go see what's up."

Nun says, "*I* will go. You stay here."

Garrick says, "Oh, sure."

[S7S] Garrick says, "when the nun turns her back on me, I'm punching her"

Bobby looks around the room.

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha ha"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Man."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "PUNCH THE NUN"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I had no idea I was in the party of evil nun-punchers."

[S7S] Garrick says, "she's clearly bad. she's on the freaky island"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee hee"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "also, watch out, she might be wielding nun-chucks"

[S7S] Garrick says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Ha ha."

[S7S] GM says, "Snrk."

Federic draws steel with a rather too elaborate flourish

[S7S] Bobby asks (of Geoffrey), "You're thinking she's a nunja?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha ha"

Belcher dives under the table.

[S7S] Federic says, "(lagging horribly)"

Garrick exclaims, "Look out!"

[Crows-Nest] Geoffrey | boobs; preferable big ones. originally nunja, nunja nunja is bigger than nunjas. add another nunja depending on how big.

Nun asks, "Who what?"

Garrick waits for the nun to turn and look at the noise, and then *PUNCH*

[S7S] Bobby says, "A member of the Sisters of No Mercy."

Garrick rolls 3 6-sided dice: 4 5 4 | 13 + 4 = 17

Federic exclaims, "Coward! Reprobate! Conniving jack-a-knapes!"

Federic kicks the table over

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Are there any corridors or side doors I could run down while Garrick is 'distracting' her?"

Nun collapses to the floor.

[S7S] Bobby says, "(Answer: of course there are!)"

[S7S] GM says, "Sure."

Bobby runs down a side corridor.

Belcher exclaims, "Yi!"

Belcher makes a dash for the back room.

Garrick uses the nun's wimple to tie her hands behind her.

Garrick says, "Sorry, ma'am, we're in a bit of a bother."

Garrick heads towards the noise, drawing his saber.

Geoffrey trips Belcher as he makes a run for it.

[S7S] GM says (to Geoffrey), "Go ahead and roll something."

[S7S] Geoffrey exclaims, "I will roll spider, while unnoticed! with my bare hands!"

Geoffrey rolls 4 6-sided dice: 3 2 5 3 | 13 + 6 = 19

[S7S] GM says, "You succeed! Go ahead and rp."

Geoffrey sticks out his leg and grabs Belcher by the arm, flipping him onto the floor. Then he twists Belcher's arm behind his back and sits on him.

Hooke, meanwhile, leaps through the window with a crash!

[S7S] Garrick asks, "are we going to do a full combat or just capture them?"

Hooke says, "Ow ow ow"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "it depends if there are any more fighting nuns out there"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "a full convent of armed nuns is enough to cow the fiercest of warriors"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee hee"

Bobby finds a closed door that someone might not want him opening and opens it.

[S7S] GM says, "Things have settled down inside the house; Belcher is caught; Nun is out, and Hooke is off and running."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "I hope Federic runs after Hooke"

GM exclaims (at Bobby), "Inside you find a room full of melon-sized packets piled up in a corner. On a disused dresser nearby sits a familiar-looking map!"

Bobby opens one of the packets!

[S7S] GM says, "Federic is lagged again, one presumes."

GM says (to Bobby), "Ew, mud."

GM says, "And acetone."

Bobby exclaims, "Hey, I bet this stuff is worth a bundle!"

Gunther has disconnected.

Gunther was awarded the Hemingway Prize for his report of the Holy Hand over the Holy Land.

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "forget the map, let's just fly off with the mud and sell it"

[S7S] Federic asks, "too late to pursue Hooke?"

Bobby stuffs the maps under one arm and a packet or few of mud under the other, and then awkwardly tries to run back to where he came, periodically stopping to re-adjust his load or to scoop up a dropped mudbomb.

[S7S] GM says, "Oh, I dunno. Spend a style point and you can be running after him already, say."

[S7S] Federic says, "done"

Hooke exclaims, "Eek!"

Hooke runs faster, shouting "Help! Help!"

[S7S] GM says, "Hmm, ISTR there are chase rules somewhere."

Federic exclaims, "Give yourself up, you suppurating boil on the arse of the nautical profession!"

[S7S] Federic asks, "opposed Athletics, surely?"

[S7S] GM says, "Sounds good to me."

Hooke is running towards an area with more houses.

Bobby finds the unconscious nun. "Gar-- Montrof! Inspector Montrof? We're all set!"

Hooke rolls 2 6-sided dice: 3 2| 5

[S7S] Federic asks, "which I guess I still have as part of Musketeer, so just 2d6, yesno?"

Federic rolls 2 6-sided dice: 2 4| 6

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, but with the +2 or whatever from Musketeer."

Garrick heads back in to find Bobby.

[S7S] GM exclaims, "You catch up with him! rp!"

Garrick says, "Okay, let me just look through her papers and see if there's anything."

[S7S] GM asks, "'her papers'?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "you know, her secret nun papers"

[S7S] Garrick says, "she's a nun, she must have a desk covered with possibly incriminating papers -somewhere_"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee hee"

Federic does a flying tackle, bringing Hooke down in a flailing pile of limbs

Hooke exclaims, "Let me go! Hooligan! Help!"

Geoffrey ties Belcher's arms together securely with some packing twine from the pantry, puts another loop around his neck, then makes him climb out the window and head back to the boat.

GM says (to Federic), "You're starting to see movement from the other houses as lights come on and doors open."

Geoffrey says, "don't shout or I'll have to tighten this"

Belcher gulps, nods.

Federic exclaims, "Have a care, unwashed miscreant! The next word you utter may be your last!"

[S7S] Garrick says, "or, you know, maybe they're all hidden."

Garrick says, "Okay, let's go find the others."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hee hee"

Garrick takes the maps and lets Bobby keep the packets.

[S7S] GM says, "Whoops, right. Sure, you find some papers which you can either peruse or grab."

Garrick grabs some random papers on the way out.

Hooke exclaims (at Federic), "You'll never take me alive!"

[S7S] GM says (to Federic), "You can try an Intimidation or something if you like."

[S7S] GM asks, "Meanwhile, the other three of you (plus one) have left the house?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "right"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Yeah."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "yeah"

[S7S] Federic says, "grumblemrmphgoddamnit"

Hooke <struggle struggle>

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Are we making a break for the gliders?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I'm not sure we're leaving the island yet"

[S7S] Federic says, "Disarmingly Frank for Intimidation is probably going to be a stretch"

[S7S] Garrick says, "but hanging out somewhere convient to a quick esape sounds good"

[S7S] GM says (to Federic), "Hee hee"

[S7S] Federic says, "unless I do this:"

[S7S] Geoffrey exclaims, "pirate!"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Are we taking a nun with us?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "We've gone to all the trouble of beating and then tying her up."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

Federic says (to Hooke), "You know, I frankly consider you worth less than the compacted crud on my boots, and if you give me the slightest trouble I will skewer you like some kind of bloated, unpalatable but unfortunately all-too-common sky-fish"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I left her behind"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "really? she's probably the sinister mastermind here"

[S7S] Bobby exclaims, "We can send Geoffrey back for her!"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "all enslaving orphans and making them work in the mines"

Federic says, "supply the details yourself, I never was much of an angler"

Federic rolls 2 6-sided dice: 1 6 | 7 + 2 = 9

Hooke rolls 2 6-sided dice: 6 2| 8

Hooke shuts up.

Federic takes a firm grip on Hooke's ear, applies a sword-point to his kidneys, and frog-marches him back

Federic says, "Apprehending an unpleasant criminal. Pay no attention, citizens. You're better off without this sort on your streets, um, rock."

GM says, "With that, you've all retreated back over the hill closer to the cliffs you landed near. Back in the direction of town, you can see people coming out and wandering around, some heading to the house you were just visiting."

[S7S] GM asks (of Federic), "Oh, did you want to take him through town?"

[S7S] Federic says, "nope, that was more by way of an over-the-shoulder parting remark"

[S7S] GM says, "Okeedokee."

[S7S] GM asks (of everyone), "Staying? Going?"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "interrogate then decide?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "we can probably talk to them back in the boat"

[S7S] Garrick says, "okay"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "er, which is what you said"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Are we going back for the nun or no?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "(I'd favor it, although we might already have enough cargo to make the return trip tricky.)"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, if you want to take Belcher and Hooke with you, you're already overloading your gliders."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Also, wait. Didn't Leik kill one of them at the end of the last session?"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "if we have the map we probably don't actually need the two of them"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "the nun is no doubt more knowledgeable about this kind of thing"

[S7S] GM says, "No, that was the rockmen glider people."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "evil, I mean"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Oh."

[S7S] Bobby says, "We could toss B&H off the side of the island."

GM says, "As you discuss your options in whispers on the other side of the hill, you hear a shout go up from the house."

Garrick says, "I think that's the sign that we should leave this island."

Geoffrey says, "that seems sensible to me"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Are we right next to the edge?"

[S7S] GM says, "Pretty close, yeah."

Geoffrey ensures Belcher and Hooke are tied up and in the bottom of the glider.

Bobby laboriously rolls Roy end-over-end towards the edge of the island.

Garrick straps his wingcloak back on, then helps Bobby.

Federic hooks himself into the glider

Bobby heaves Roy off the side, then clambers on, still clutching his mud.

[S7S] Bobby says, "(But I assume I gave the map to someone bigger.)"

Garrick clutches the map and takes off.

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, Garrick said he took it."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Oh, good."

GM says, "Once again, it's extremely disconcerting as the sky starts off tumbling around you then suddenly rights itself. The four of you are ejected off the side of the tumbling island, but manage to get your bearings before falling *too* far into the Sky."

Geoffrey says, "whew"

Garrick watches the glider right itself, then heads back towards the ship.

GM says, "Fortunately, nobody seems to be following you."

GM says, "Belcher and Hooke confess what they know--they were approached by a nun in Crail two weeks before you all left, and promised a reward if they would let them know when the ship arrived, and if they stole the map when the ship was attacked."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "freakin' nuns"

Federic says, "Why, the nun was behind it all along! How horrible to think it."

Bobby exclaims, "We've got to go back to get the nuns!"

Bobby says (to Federic), "Oh, they're all like that."

Geoffrey asks, "we have the map back -- shouldn't we follow it?"

Garrick says (to Geoffrey), "That sounds best."

Bobby asks, "How many nuns can we fit on the glider?"

Geoffrey says, "I don't know what condition the ship is in now"

Garrick says, "Let's also go ask Reginald why on earth we were attacked by nuns."

Bobby says, "And what about the kids? We gotta get them outta that place."

Garrick calls for the carpenter to come update him on the status.

GM exclaims (at Bobby), "Oh, and: the nun Garrick punched was wearing a pendant exactly like the one worn by the head warden of the last Crailese orphanage you were in!"

[S7S] GM says, "(</plot-hook>)"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "if you'd told him that earlier, he would have punched her himself"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Ha ha."

Bobby says, "Even if you're not going back, we gotta at least see what kinda papers Garrick got."

Bobby says, "Maybe they're full of secret nun plans."

Garrick says, "Oh yeah, these."

Bobby says, "For building a giant evil secret nun."

Carpenter says, "Not sea-worthy yet, sir, but she's getting there. Could probably float for an hour or so if every man worked the bilge pumps. Maybe enough time to get into a harbor."

Garrick pulls the papers out of his shirt and starts reading.

Bobby says, "With a ruler that's twelve feet across."

Bobby shudders.

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hee hee"

[S7S] Bobby says, "(Remind me, what's the bilge pumping? Air?)"

Geoffrey says, "well, we need to find the wreck on a rock in the sky -- we don't have to land the ship in harbor just yet"

[S7S] Garrick says, "we're fine in the air"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Oh, right."

[S7S] Garrick says, "but if we went into a harbor full of water, we'd sink"

Garrick says, "Right."

Garrick says (to Carpenter), "Keep up the good work"

Garrick calls in Toth and they both bend over the map.

GM says, "The papers reveal what you have suspected: orphans are being kidnapped to work the mines to bring up the exposed clay from the heart of the cracked micro-island."

Bobby exclaims, "See? SEE!"

Federic requisitions a pistol and shot from ship's stores

Bobby exclaims, "I know her kind!"

GM says, "Oh, and this was nominated from before:"

GM gives Garrick a style point for punching a nun.

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "he should have won an ipod"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Ha."

Federic says (to Bobby), "come along, the grown-ups have to plan important things now. Let me show you how we shoot gulls."

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "Nunkeys versus nunja. The eternal battle."

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "Y'know, that would be an awesome flash fighting game."

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "The nunkey would have her tail-sweep. The nunja would throw shurikross."

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "(OK, maybe I haven't quite thought this through yet.)"

Federic says, "But first, I'm going to have to teach you about proper gun care, maintenance, cleaning and safe storage."

Federic says, "What you do is, you give your gun to Geoffrey here and he handles all that."

Garrick calls in Leik and others to work out a course, then begins sailing off.

Bobby exclaims, "OK!"

Bobby exclaims (at Geoffrey), "Thanks!"

GM says, "Looking at the map again, it takes a while to triangulate from the stars and everything, but you eventually work out that you're already basically at the wreck you were looking for--it's on a rock that you could probably see from here if it were light out."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "hee hee"

[S7S] Garrick says, "excellent"

[S7S] GM says, "Ha ha yay."

Garrick says, "Hmm, that's worrying."

Garrick says, "They've had the map here long enough to have already found it."

Garrick says, "Well, we'll check it out anyway."

[Crows-Nest] Geoffrey says, "I see a flying nun lander game like those spaceship lander games"

Garrick has the ship slooowly head over to where the wreck is.

[Crows-Nest] Bobby says, "And the robotic Transister."

[S7S] GM asks, "We're about 10 minutes from turning into pumpkins, right? Or can we go longer?"

[Crows-Nest] Geoffrey says, "ha ha"

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "I am ok for longer but I think Garrick had to finish on time"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I need to finish at 4, yeah"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Should we try to arrange an extra session to finish things off?"

[S7S] Federic says, "I'm good for whenever, although my connection's so flaky just now that I'd prefer an early finish"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, let's do another one to finish things off."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "okey doke"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Hmm. I *think* I'm busy next Saturday."

[S7S] Garrick says, "I am definitely busy next saturday"

[S7S] GM says, "OK, people e-mail/mudmail me times you're free. In the meantime:"

GM says, "The ship drifts through the rocks away from the mining operation, until there it is--you can see the hull and tattered sails of the wreck plastered on the side of the huge floating rock."

Geoffrey says, "well, all we have to do now is loot the ship, free the orphans, and blow up the mine"

Bobby says, "And capture the nuns."

Garrick calls up the carpenter. "Could we use one of those masts to fix the jib?"

Bobby says, "That's only fair."

Carpenter peers at the wreck. "Looks like there's at least one good mast over there, sir."

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ah, sensible"

[S7S] Garrick says, "I know what we're doing next session"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Looting the ship, freeing the orphans, blowing up the min, and capturing the nuns?"

[S7S] Geoffrey asks, "punching more nuns?"

[S7S] Garrick exclaims (at geoffrey, bobby), "both right!"

[S7S] GM says, "Hee hee"

[S7S] Garrick asks, "okay, anything else?"

[S7S] GM asks, "Do you want to visit the wreck now, or start of next time with that?"

[S7S] Garrick says, "start with it next time works for me"

[S7S] GM says, "Okeedokee."

[S7S] GM exclaims, "Thanks, everyone!"

[S7S] Garrick says, "later all"

Garrick has disconnected.

Garrick goes home.

[S7S] Geoffrey says, "ok then"

Eolo has disconnected.

npc1 has disconnected.

[S7S] inky says, "hmm"

npc2 has disconnected.

[S7S] inky asks, "I guess we need to do the beta-test writeup now, right?"

[S7S] inky asks, "since our next session will be after the end of the beta period?"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, I think so."

[S7S] inky says, "(I mean, now = sometime before the next session)"

[S7S] GM says, "Though if we get in a new one before the 29th, so much the better."

[S7S] GM says, "actually, hmm."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "When does Beta end officially?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I could play on the 24, a week from tomorrow."

[S7S] GM says, "He did ask people if they were interested in staying on for a Gamma test."

[S7S] GM says, "I wonder if it'd be worth waiting long enough to use the new rules for the next session."

[S7S] inky says, "I would be fine with that, but I guess it depends how long it'll be"

[S7S] Bobby says, "You could ask Chad his opinion."

[S7S] GM says, "Sure, I'll ask how long he thinks it'll be."

[S7S] inky asks, "hmm, where's chad's letter with the to-do stuff?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "So, should we be doing questionaire-y stuff right now?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "I am up for answering questions if someone wants to fire them out."

[S7S] GM says (to inky), "I think it's '"

[S7S] GM says, "'chad1.txt'."

[S7S] inky says, "ha ha"

[S7S] inky says, "I was thinking Chad was someone's character"

[S7S] GM says, "Yeah, that's it."

[S7S] GM says, "Ha"

[S7S] inky says, "http://strackenz.spod-central.org/~lpsmith/rpg/transcripts/s7s/chad1.txt"

[S7S] inky says, "so, ok"

Federic is kicking back in whatever afterlife Chaotic Good people get, probably sipping single-malt Scotch and smoking cigars rolled from poorly-worded legal documents.

Bobby exclaims, "Right. Hey -- these are the questions I answered last time!"

[S7S] inky says, "I'll skip the book part since Jota didn't read that"

[S7S] inky says, "but, wrt playing the game,"

[S7S] inky | A. What was Good, what was Bad, and what was Ugly (or Confusing)?

[S7S] Bobby says, "Good was the fact that flying ships and rocks and things lent themselves to some cool plot elements, like the mud."

[S7S] inky says, "yeah"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Bad was... well, I don't remember anything particularly bad."

[S7S] inky says, "despite the gripes I've had about the amount of setting detail, the amount I actually *remember* is pretty good"

[S7S] inky says, "which is to say not very much, but enough to remember there are some interesting things"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Confusing? Hmm. I recall being slightly confused about where everyone was and what they were doing down (up? around?) on the island, but I don't think that's the game's fault."

[S7S] Bobby says, "And we didn't do a lot with mechanics this time."

[S7S] inky says, "yeah"

[S7S] inky says, "the difficulty numbers felt a little arbitrary"

[S7S] Bobby says, "In retrospect, I imagine I should try to roll more stuff, and harder stuff, since I haven't gotten at training points yet."

[S7S] inky says, "maybe we shouldn't have thrown in style points on that roll"

[S7S] Bobby says, "But by RP'ing things and trying to creatively apply bonuses, I'm reducing my opportunities."

[S7S] Bobby says (to inky), "Mmm, yeah. The actual results of it seem to be more plot-controlled than mechanics-controlled."

[S7S] Bobby says, "(That is, I think the ship will be ready when the story requires us to take it down.)"

[S7S] Bobby says, "On the other hand, I've got all these style points, so I ought to be using them for *something*."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Maybe I should try to think up more minor facts to declare."

[S7S] inky says, "part of this is the particular GM's style, I think, but I'm not sure the system does anything to help you out if you want a more "objective" difficulty system"

[S7S] inky says, "anyway, question 2 is possibly related,"

[S7S] inky | B. Were there any rules that didn't get a lot of play?

[S7S] Bobby says, "Heh. I guess I sorta just answered that."

[S7S] inky says, "we also still haven't done any of the special combat maneuvers, or used any Feats"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Do any of us have special combat maneuvers or Feats?"

[S7S] inky says, "I have a feat, and katre's revamped version of his guy has a feat"

[S7S] inky says, "anyone can use combat maneuvers but they're only detailed on one page of the rules"

[S7S] inky says, "like, there's a rule for how to disarm somebody"

[S7S] inky says, "(but I think it's one of those dumb things where you have to be able to defeat them normally to disarm them, so disarming doesn't actually help you out much)"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Seems like that sort of thing would work fine as just a standard action."

[S7S] inky says, "question C is just a list of what the characters were and what skills they picked and so on, which should be straightforward"

[S7S] inky says, "and question D is if we were musketeers or pirates, which is pretty obvious"

[S7S] Bobby says, "A standard combat roll that does normal 'damage' to the enemy, but flavored as a disarm."

[S7S] inky says, "that might make more sense to handle it"

[S7S] inky says, "though it has more effect than a normal roll since it prevents them from using their rapier! technique or whatever"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Ah, hmm."

[S7S] inky says, "but maybe you should just roll + spend a style point or something"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Yeah."

[S7S] inky says, "this gets back to not knowing how many style points it costs to do anything in-combat with facts"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Does this assume that you will know whether or not an NPC has Rapier!?"

[S7S] inky asks, "hmm, don't you?"

[S7S] inky says, "like, I assume that if you use a technique it has to be prominent in your action"

[S7S] inky says, "(you might not know *before* they use it, if it's Not left-handed! or something)"

[S7S] Bobby says (to inky), "Mmm."

[S7S] Bobby says, "(I wonder if you could make good use of Not Left-Handed! outside of combat...)"

[S7S] inky says, "ha ha"

[S7S] inky says, "I pick his pocket, having my left arm in a sling as a decoy"

[S7S] inky asks, "question E is | Which Islands were most important/central in your playtest campaign?"

[S7S] inky says, "which is "not really any""

[S7S] Bobby exclaims (at inky), "Not true!"

[S7S] inky says, "ha ha"

[S7S] inky asks, "no?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "This little spinny one was fundamental to the session."

[S7S] Bobby says, "(OK, so maybe that's just an 'island' rather than an 'Island'...)"

[S7S] Bobby says, "(But hey, maybe it has some background that links it to that smashed one like someone (you?) suggested.)"

[S7S] inky says, "ok, true"

[S7S] inky says, "I figured he meant the big ones, but I guess he doesn't *say* that"

[S7S] inky says, "question F is if we used any example NPCs, which we didn't, as far as I know"

[S7S] inky asks, "question G is | What kind of cool stuff did your GM or players come up with?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Belcher isn't in the main sourcebook?"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Hmm. Is the mud from the book, or did lps invent it?"

[S7S] inky says, "he invented it, as far as I know"

[S7S] inky says, "but maybe it is a setting element I forgot about"

[S7S] Bobby says, "That's #1, one. Then the spinny island, of course."

[S7S] Bobby asks, "And, um. Did we have enough time to come up with other cool stuff?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "(I don't think 'nun punching' counts here.)"

[S7S] Bobby says, "(Although katre may well have invented it.)"

[S7S] inky says, "hee hee"

[S7S] inky says, "well, flying on the rock was cool"

[S7S] inky says, "I am not sure it's canon but what the hell"

[S7S] inky says, "evil orphanages are pretty good too"

[S7S] Bobby says, "That's true."

[S7S] inky asks, "question H | H. Was access to other S7S GMs/players on the Yahoo group useful?"

[S7S] Bobby says, "But if they got added to the book, then *everyone* would have one, and then they wouldn't be cool anymore."

[S7S] inky says, "this doesn't apply to you as far as I know, but I thought it was"

[S7S] inky says, "that's true"

[S7S] inky says, "I assume he is partly asking so he can see about facilitating whatever cool thing it was, not necessarily reproducing it exactly"

[S7S] inky says, "but it's hard to say"

[S7S] Bobby says (to inky), "Yeah, I was half kidding."

[S7S] (from inky) Bobby says "It would actually be *great* if everyone had an evil orphanage"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Although the rock/island interaction is an interesting question not directly addressed as far as I know of."

[S7S] Bobby says (to inky), "Heh."

[S7S] inky says, "hmm"

[S7S] inky says, "I *think* it talks about the floatation of the rocks somewhere and says you can't make ships out of them"

[S7S] inky says, "but I could be wrong"

[S7S] inky says, "I am pretty sure the island mist is supposed to negate the floating of the ships, or something like that"

[S7S] inky says, "so it would make sense it negates the rocks too, but maybe not"

[S7S] Bobby asks, "Hmm. So why can't you make ships out of them?"

[S7S] inky says, "let me see if I can find it"

[S7S] inky says, "oh, hmm, I'm on crack"

[S7S] inky says, "apparently ships are actually made to float with a combination of the wood they're made of and the paint they're painted of, which is made with redpowder, which is taken from floating rocks"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Aha."

[S7S] Bobby says, "(Clearly a scam run by the shippainting guild.)"

[S7S] inky says, "so I guess there's no reason you couldn't make a rock into a ship"

[S7S] Bobby says, "So, hmm. I assume that making a ship out of wood is just easier than trying to carve stone into the shape of one."

[S7S] inky says, "you'd need either pegasus or a sail to move it, though"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Plus, tress are probably easier to harvest in large quantities."

[S7S] inky says, "well, there are plenty of rocks if you don't need to carve them"

[S7S] inky says, "it seems like you could probably just strap a bunch of them together"

[S7S] inky says, "but I think the wind resistance would make it lousy as a ship"

[S7S] Bobby says, "Plus you wouldn't have interior spaces."

[S7S] Bobby says, "Like quarters or cargo holds."

[S7S] Bobby says, "(And of course, you couldn't land them, since how do you get them into the air again?)"

[S7S] inky says, "well, I'm imagining making the ship like a cube with rocks at the corners"

[system] * Scheduled database dump beginning now (Sat Feb 16 16:45:42 2008).

[system] * Scheduled database dump completed (Sat Feb 16 16:45:54 2008).

[S7S] Bobby says, "I am Blackbeard of Borg. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated."

[S7S] inky says, "ha ha"

[S7S] inky says, "exactly"

Bobby has disconnected.

[S7S] GM says, "#belated Hee."

[S7S] GM says, "Another reason not to make a ship of rocks is if it sinks when it gets to a regular island."

[S7S] inky says, "it looks to me like that doesn't actually happen, or I can't find a thing saying it does"

[S7S] inky says, "as far as I can tell, the fog on top of the island shelters you from stuff falling from the skies, and the cloud on the bottom helps it float and protects its underside"

[S7S] inky says, "there is a thing saying the ship can get shaken up some when it adjusts to the island's gravity, which is why water landings are easier"

[S7S] inky says, "hmm"

[S7S] inky says, "I guess that does imply it sinks on the island"

[S7S] inky says, "or else it wouldn't land"

[S7S] GM says, "It definitely says somewhere that bluewood doesn't float over an island."

[S7S] inky says, "I wonder if there's a way the rulebook could be organized differently to explain this so I'd remember it better"

[S7S] GM says, "I'm not sure if it says that about the rocks somewhere or not."

[S7S] GM says, "But yeah, by analogy."

[S7S] GM says, "When the islands go through the Sky of Stones, they do get pelted by 'em, at least."

[S7S] inky says, "hm yeah"

[S7S] inky says, "I was going to say the rocks of your ship would be deflected by the mist, but presumably so would the bluewood"

[S7S] GM says, "(Also #belated, I did indeed make up the mud stuff, though now I totally forget what inspired it)"
