GM says, "You pick up the phone and punch the three numbers. You don't hear a ring at first, just a bunch of clicks, buzzes, and beeps. And then it starts ringing."

Sunny points to the phone and mouths "It's ringing!"

Sunny says, "Hi! I got this number from someone whom I hope is a mutual acquaintance. I potentially have information about that unfortunate incident involving one of your labs a while back."
Quint says, "(over the phone)don't reply, but I'm trying to trace them now. Looks like they added a few hops, too."

Voice says, "We did have a problem recently at one of our research stations."
Voice says, "Any information would be appreciated. But we'd need to know how you came about this information."

Asher hangs out ten or fifteen feet away from the phone booth, apparently just listening to his headphones and watching traffic.
Sunny says, "Whereas I'd need to know if I'm talking to the right people, and what the information is worth."
Voice says, "The dragon is pretty pissed about things, actually, so the right information could be worth a lot."
Voice says, "There's an easy way to prove we're each the right people. I'll meet you in two hours in the entry to the facility."

Maria says, "We know someone entered the facility after the action was over."
Sunny says, "Not everyone was available for this meeting"
Maria says, "Continue."
Emvee smirks to himself.
Thurgun pulls out the autopsy report, looks questioningly at Sunny.
Sunny nods at Thurgun.
Thurgun slides the report across the table to Maria.
Sunny asks, "This will go some way towards explaining what I meant about the gang leader. Are you familiar with what happened to Chicago?"
[shadowrun] Sunny says (to Thurgun), "excellent idea"
[shadowrun] Sunny says, "also, note that I did not lie"
Maria takes the chip, fishes out her pocket secretary, and slots it.
Thurgun says, "That's the guy who was the leader of the gang."
Maria says (to Sunny), "Yes, we sent several teams to assist with that."
Maria says, "This..."
Maria says, "Come with me."
Maria stands up and heads back towards the door in the back.
Sunny gets up to follow Maria.
Asher shrugs, and goes along.
[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "If you're going to follow them, I need a Quickness roll, TN4"
Thurgun stands up, checks the chair, is relieved he didn't break it, follows.
Asher says (to Istereth), "we're going back into their facilities, I guess -- it seems like it's legit, but be careful"

GM says, "She leads everyone into the back and down the ladder to the facility. Emvee just barely squeezes through the door as it swings shut."
Maria leads down the passageway to the security door, where a guard is waiting.
SK-Guard exclaims, "Sir! Halt and present ID!"
Asher says, "guess this place is expensive enough you don't just want to toss it after it's breached once"
Asher says, "must have been a hell of a cleanup job, though"
Maria says, "We've upgraded the security substantially."
Asher says, "good plan"
Maria takes out an ID card, shows it to the guard, and says, "I'll sign for these three visitors."
SK-Guard exclaims, "Yes sir! Three visitors sir!"
[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "uh-oh"
SK-Guard opens the door, and waves Maria, Sunny, Thurgun, and Asher through.
SK-Guard then trains his rifle down the hallway.

Asher says, "leader of the gang"
Thurgun says, "We eventually figured that out, yes."
Maria asks (of Asher), "The entire gang were bugs?"
Asher says, "no, just the leader"
Thurgun says, "The rest of the gang were kinda freaked about it, actually."
Thurgun says, "Many of them were glad we took him out."
Asher says, "we don't know where the other bugs came from that hit the facility, although we have some guesses"
Maria asks, "You think it was bugs that hit here, too?"
Maria says, "That's a lot of bugs you are claiming."
Thurgun says, "But he had the gang distributing these BTL chips."
Asher says, "I think *something* punched through the walls, and it sure as hell wasn't no elf"
Asher says, "unless it was elves with TNT, natch"
Sunny says, "In addition, the man who gave me your number said he'd had assassination attempts on his life"

Maria says, "We didn't find traces of any explosives, which did have us concerned."

Maria says, "They seemed to have been intentionally destroyed. Along with all of the other computers here."

Sunny says, "The elves have had issues with them as well, it turns out."
Maria takes a look at the BTL.
Thurgun says, "In Portland, they were being used to turn elves into cockroach spirits."

Emvee slips off the spell once he's back in the van.

Thurgun says, "On the one hand, if we can stop Kolmetz before he does whatever the Portland guy was trying to do, that's great. On the other, if he's already *done* it, O'ill want to be as strong as possible before going after him."

Thurgun nods. "We're all gonna look out for each other, and agree to decide things democratically."

Asher says, "we've made rules for the group that we're going to follow, and anyone who joins the group later on will have to follow them too"

BruceB throws down the taser and makes a fist.
[Crows-Nest] Asher asks, "maybe Jim's body's transformed?"

Sunny says, "Dude, he *didn't remember me*. I've been doing jobs for him for a long time."
BruceB says, "He has been acting funny..."
BruceB sags a bit.
Sunny says, "I was coming here to warn him that one of the jobs he'd passed on to me turned out to be helping the bugs."
Sunny says, "Can I come out from under this table? I wasn't looking for a fight to start with, and I'm fraggin' not looking for one now."
BruceB says, "He went on a trip, two weeks ago. Just came back yesterday."
BruceB says, "He, he was a bit funny. Didn't know where anything was."
Sunny says, "These spirits, they've tried to get through to here before."

Sunny says, "Took over Chicago a while back."
BruceB asks, "Izzat what happened dere?"
Sunny stands very slowly, with her hands up and her pistol held loose.
BruceB goes over to Jim's body. "Prove it. Show me he's a bug."
Sunny says, "I'm going to put my pistol back in my holster."
Sunny asks, "Okay?"
BruceB says, "Okay."
Sunny holsters her pistol.
Sunny says, "Let's check what Jim looks like now. We ran into one of these guys guys, he had extra arms and shit."
BruceB says, "Huh."
[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Was Jim wearing glasses?"
[shadowrun] GM says, "no"
[shadowrun] GM says, "his eyes were normal."
Sunny slowly and carefully removes Jim's clothing.
Sunny says, "What's going on, it'll swallow us all up. S-K's into it now. Maybe Aztechnology."
GM says, "Examining Jim, you find he has an extra set of legs growing. Comes out of his hips a little above the normal set."
Sunny says, "Sent one of my friends running already before they could get to him. I had no idea they'd be after Jim."
GM says, "Also, inside his mouth, he has some kind of creepy mandible thing."
Sunny sags. "Dammit, I hate to be right about this kinda stuff. See these legs? And this...this thing in his mouth?"
BruceB says, "Aw, man."
BruceB says, "I bin workin' for him for years, now."
BruceB says, "I.... I don't feel too good."
Sunny winces. "You got any bandages or anything? I think we need patching up."
BruceB topples over backwards.
Sunny sighs. "Muscle."
Sunny removes any extra weapons Bruce might have and goes to check on Istereth.
