Reig the Jarou shape-shifter engineer

Like all his kind, Reig has no home planet-the hostile and ever-changing 
planet on which his species evolved has long since torn itself to pieces.  
But it bequeathed his kind with incredible adaptability:  Jarou all have 
flexible musculature, yards of loose skin that can be tucked away or 
stretched out, a rearrangable skeletal system, and retractable translucent 
fur whose color reflects the adjustable pigmentation of the skin 
underneath.  

Reig has palled around with (character--Jota?) for the last (decade?) or 
so.  He helps with [X]'s jobs and doesn't ask for much pay--in return for 
him not asking too many questions.  Because Reig is also a courier and spy 
for the rebellion, mostly trading in small items and knowledge.  Because 
people tell things to their pets they don't tell anyone.

Reig's superb Athletics is explained by his being an alien evolved on a 
very tough planet; his superb Rapport is explained by how gosh-darned cute 
he is (plus a mild psychic ability); his great Alertness is explained by 
his heightened senses (smell, hearing), and his great Primitive Weapons 
are his natural weapons, notably his razor-sharp claws (normally 
retracted, but able to be unsheathed instantly from the majority of his 
forms).

Shape-shifter:
	Like all Jarou, Reig is approximately rhesus-monkey sized, and can 
reconfigure his skeletal structure, muscles, and skin to become any number 
of shapes.  Athletics determines quality and/or speed of the 
transformation.

"We have more house-cats on this station..."
	Reig has become adept at using his shape-shifting and camouflage 
abilities to transform into a number of common animals (of his basic size) 
that are often seen in this area of space.  Use shape-shifting roll 
(Athletics) instead of Deceit to fool observers.

"On Ptolus IV, our kind lived liked that for centuries"
	Reig has studied his race's history well, and knows many forms 
that are well suited to a variety of environments.  In particular, he can 
stretch his excess skin taut to glide through the air, can re-active his 
usually-nascent gills to breathe underwater (naturally, he can shapeshift 
into an adept swimmer), and can grow or shed his fur to accommodate 
extreme cold and heat.  

"I have nothing to declare!"
	It is trivial to secrete small objects on Reig's person that are 
virtually undetectable even if he's unconscious.  (+2 to rolls for hiding 
things when being searched.)

"Aww, how cute!"
	Reig has an expressive face, a soothing purr, and a latent psychic 
ability that makes people trust and talk to him, even (and sometimes 
especially) when they think he's just a dumb animal.  This allows him to 
make Rapport rolls even when not actually talking, and also explains his 
exceptionally-high Rapport in general.
