| [ussura] PerrySimm says, "Log on." | |
| GM exclaims, "Done!" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Er." | |
| GM says, "Er, that didn't work." | |
| Pyotr says, "I'll try" | |
| Pyotr exclaims, "done!" | |
| GM says, "There we go." | |
| Duchess has disconnected. | |
| Duchess runs through the jungle with the wind in her hair and the sand at her feet. | |
| Raelynn arrives, looking for booty. | |
| GM says, "I accidentally renamed Jasmine's Palace to Raelynn." | |
| Pyotr says, "ha ha ha ha" | |
| Pyotr asks, "do you need help fixing it back?" | |
| GM says, "Nah, I got it." | |
| Pyotr says, "Thanks" | |
| GM says, "Alright, I think that's actually all of us today--Sara's off as well." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr asks, "who are we waiting for?" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "because Pyotr is itching for a mugging" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Hee" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "So any of the leads from the forum page you all want to follow up on ; great; we'll assume that the others took care of the rest of 'em." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "actually, I'm going to need to go read a bedtime story in five minutes, for five minutes or so" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Heh, no problem." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "so if someone else wants to do something til then, that'd be great" | |
| [ussura] GM asks, "Did we loose Charles to net lag again? Is he re-reading stuff?" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Was lagging, so I took the opportunity to grab a drink. Back." | |
| [ussura] GM asks, "So, Pyotr is planning to rob Raymonde; Charles is planning to send some sort of message to LaV? And Raelynn...?" | |
| Charles says, "It looks as though LaVache isn't planning to stick around. If we want to prevent him from running back home to the Emperor, we'll need a plan." | |
| Charles nods to the rescued captains. "Fortuantely, it looks like we're not alone." | |
| [ussura] GM asks, "You went back to see the captains?" | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Has the rest of the party left them yet?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Some of you all went into town, and some stayed with them." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(You went back to town because you needed to get your orders and you wanted to see what was up)" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(I assume)" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(Or you can say you're chatting with them before you left to go back to town)" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Right. I figured that I met back up with the party at some point, or at least part of it." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I I may as well assume it's the part that's still with them." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "(Which of us are actually to be here tonight? Just Charles, Rae, and Pyotr?)" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Right." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "If you need a bot we can do that, too." | |
| Charles looks out one who looks ringleaderish. "How well do you know LaVache?" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "Rae will be along shortly" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I am done with my part of putting little ones to sleep" | |
| Yvon says, "None too well, I'm afraid. He was assigned to our group at the last minute just before we set sail for Ussura." | |
| Yvon says, "All I knew of him is that he was very competent--got the fleet through several storms without loosing a single ship." | |
| Charles asks, "Mmm. Would you peg him for an ambitious man?" | |
| Yvon says, "But, as the fact that I needed to be rescued indicates, my loyalties lie with Montegue. Sailed with him back in Castille, and never met a better general." | |
| Yvon says, "Ambitious? Sure." | |
| Yvon says, "He's doing pretty well for himself on that front, what with having the ear of L'Empereur, though." | |
| Charles says, "If we let him sail back home now, it'll make it that much harder to make him answer for what he's done, given that l'Empereur seems to be supplying his orders." | |
| Yvon says, "I'd be glad to be rid of 'im, myself." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I wonder if the Drachen would be willing/able to help us with LaVache, if we could get him down there." | |
| Yvon says, "But, as you say." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "You'd need something to bargain with, but that doesn't seem like it's out of the question." | |
| Charles says, "What we need is bait to keep him here -- or better yet, to get him where *we* have the upper hand." | |
| Yvon says, "Well, if you could keep those boats from exploding, we'd be willing to sail 'em for you." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "I forget, that message we decrypted a while back, whom was that from/to?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "That was from L'emp to LaVache." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Ah, good. So in theory, we now know what sorts of codes are used at upper levels of the Montaigne millitary." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "One of 'em, at least." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Right." | |
| Charles asks, "Aye, a good point. If LaVache thought that his plan was uncovered, do you think he'd be the sort to call it off, or do you think he'd go through with it anyway out of spite?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "http://strackenz.spod-central.org/~lpsmith/rpg/transcripts/ussura/season2/LaVache.htm" | |
| Yvon asks, "Which plan?" | |
| Charles says, "To blow up the ships and cut off Montegue's return. Say, if he were told that Montegue knew about the ships and had another route back to Montaigne planned." | |
| Yvon says, "Oh, he'd definitely blow up the ships anyway. No sense leaving them for... well, anyone. The Ussurans or Montegue." | |
| Yvon says, "I was actually surprised he didn't just torch them already." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Which I was suspecting OOC, but had to hear IC before I could let Charles be sidetracked with them." | [interludes] Yvon says, "Hee" |
| [ussura] Yvon says, "(or here)" | |
| Charles frowns. "Right. Then I suppose that will have to be a priority." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Also, hrm. I am far better at blowing things up than stopping things from blowing up." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Heh." | |
| Charles looks out over the harbor. "So, to set them off... it seems there are only a few convenient ways." | |
| Charles says, "One is just to throw torches or firebrands at them. But that's unreliable and inelegant, so it's unlikely what he'd choose." | |
| Charles says, "A second is to station men on board the ships who could light the fuses. But that would require the waste of men of terrible loyalty, if they were willing to be on the ships as they were destroyed." | |
| Yvon says, "And a bad choice for assassination." | |
| Charles says, "Aye." | |
| Charles says, "A third -- and what I would normally expect -- would be to send a smaller boat loaded with explosives near enough to the ships that when it went off, it would take them with it. Light its fuse before launching it, and hope its course takes it in amongst them." | |
| Charles says, "But in this case, I suspect a fourth option is more likely -- that bloody sorcery of yours." He glances back at Yvon. "No personal offense intended, of course." | |
| Yvon shrugs apologetically. | |
| Charles says, "I imagine that one of his men could easily open a path into the heart of one of those ill-fated ships, toss through a flame, and then step back through to safety before the first boom." | |
| Charles asks, "But this magic requires some sort of target to be prepared ahead of time, aye?" | |
| Yvon says, "True." | |
| Charles . o O ( Where did that Raelynn get to? She knows all about this. ) | |
| Charles says, "So if that *is* the plan, then it may be as simple as finding that target and destroying it." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Given the way the ships are arrayed in the harbor, is it likely that an explosion in one could reliably trigger a chain reaction, or would it be necessary to set them off individually?" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn asks (of gm), "does the way the ship is way off the ground (for me) - is that alterna porte or porte?" | |
| (From GM) Raelynn says, "If it's a large target, you'd have to wash off all of the blood. If you move it, depending on how close they are, they might be able to tell it's being moved." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "That's alterna-porte." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn asks, "as in, *i* wouldn't be able to do what charles is saying since i can't jump from the weird place to where it's blooded. ah, so a normal porte person can do this?" | |
| Pyotr says, "Hmm, so we go look for things that are bloody? Where's Era? A wolf's nose could help with this." | |
| Raelynn says (to pyotr), "it would have to be pretty sensitive" | |
| Raelynn says, "it's not like the object will be covered in blood" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Charles), "You think that a single point of origin would be fairly unlikely to set them all off, but if you got a fair number of them started at once, you could probably get the rest by spreading." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "So if he is planning to use porte, then we've got several blooded objects to hunt down." | |
| Raelynn says (to charles), "so if you think the explosions are done by porte, you will need several practitioners" | |
| Raelynn says, "since there are limits to how many blooded objects one can have" | |
| Charles asks, "Is there any way to block out porte magic?" | |
| Raelynn says, "hm" | |
| Raelynn asks, "like make a place un-accessible?" | |
| Charles says, "Right." | |
| Charles says, "Perhaps something like the 'sealing' effect, but done in advance." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "I think you heard of such a thing in Breslau, but elected to not hunt it down." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn says, "drat" | |
| Raelynn says, "i think there's a way, but i don't know how" | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "How many ships are there?" | |
| Pyotr asks, "How much stuff is left on those ships?" | |
| Pyotr says, "We just offload everything. problem solved." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn asks, "do you think there's a chance we will find someone amongst the captains who will have that knowledge?" | |
| Raelynn asks (of yvon), "are there any porte practioners amongst the captains who might know about sealing holes?" | |
| Yvon thinks. | |
| Pyotr asks, "Can we get in touch with Montegue's people to ask?" | |
| Yvon says, "I have heard that mirror ghosts make it impossible to practice Porte in their vicinity." | |
| Charles says, "Mirror ghosts? That sounds familiar..." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Do I remember something like that from #aboveground?" | |
| [ussura] Yvon flip flip flip. | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(actually, me)" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Yvon is practicing gymnastics while we chat." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Looks like the ghost stuff and the mirror stuff were not actually the same stuff. And I think the ghost turned out to be a sidhe of some sort." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "You've probably also heard rumors--they are ghosts that can be trapped somehow by mirrors, but you don't know how. They also seem to be native to Montaigne; it's somewhat rare to find them out of the country. It's probably because of Porte." | |
| Raelynn says, "it's going to be hard finding mirror ghosts in this country" | |
| Raelynn says, "especially since porte is so disliked by matushka and all" | |
| Raelynn asks, "so what are the chances that laveche has one in his cabin so that he can't get surprise visits?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "I guess you also know that Glamour counteracts the effects of Porte, too, but you've never tried it as a direct opposed contest." | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Rae), "Oh, hey, good idea." | |
| Pyotr asks (of Raelynn), "You can heal porte holes. Can you stop them?" | |
| Charles asks, "Would a mirror ghost be enough to protect more than one ship?" | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "How many ships are there?" | |
| Yvon says, "I *think* the effect is supposed to be pretty localized." | |
| Raelynn says (to pyotr), "i would have to be there at the point of slicing, i think" | |
| Raelynn says, "but if there are multiple porte holes being opened in multiple locations - even if it is on two ships next to each other, that's going to be hard since there's only one of me" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Natural Philosophy check to gauge which ships are the key ones that are most likely to be used as triggers:" | |
| [7thsea] Charles rolls 4k3: 3 2 5 8 | 16 | |
| Pyotr looks towards town. "Hey, isn't that that Raymonde guy? What's he carrying?" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Charles), "OK, there's one of them, almost certainly. It's centered with several other boats right up next to it; unnaturally so. But while you can see a few other groups, it's less clear which one would be the trigger." | |
| Charles asks, "Do the men on those ship have any idea why their captains were taken away?" | |
| Charles says (to Pyotr), "Looks like a box of some kind." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Was Raymonde a good guy or a bad guy in the end?" | |
| Pyotr says, "Hmm, he's caryring it himself, not giving it to a lackey. Must be important, and light." | |
| Pyotr says, "Not gold, then." | |
| Charles says, "You'd better go see what it is." | |
| Pyotr says, "I think I will." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn asks, "he's laveche's man, right?" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr asks, "anyone with him?" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn says, "do i want to be mean to the gm and ask if i can split off, too? i want to get those girls :)" | |
| Raymonde, along with a dozen other men all carrying things, heads out of the house and towards the docks. | |
| [ussura] Raelynn says, "but i will stay with charles." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Yeah, that's actually fine." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Three groups I can do." | |
| Pyotr says, "Okay, let's see what I can do." | |
| Charles stays near enough to Pyotr that he can lend a hand if necessary. | |
| Yvon says, "Oh, we were publicly accused of being in league with Montegue." | |
| Pyotr sneak sneak. | |
| Yvon exclaims (at Charles), "Good luck, sir!" | |
| Pyotr . o O ( Okay, I need to either beat up a dozen guys, or somehow separate him from the group. ) | |
| Pyotr . o O ( I know! I'll stampede some horses through the middle of town. That always works on elk! ) | |
| Pyotr asks, "Let's see, where's the nearest stable?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(We'll say that that was the point at which you left the captains and headed back to town, whereupon you saw the stuff in the post)" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Pyotr), "Ha ha" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr asks, "oh, is anyone coming with me?" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I was thinking this was solo, but I'm glad for company" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn says, "i am staying away" | |
| [Crows-Nest] Charles says, "I am imagining that Elk is the class hit Ussuran television program. About an Elk." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn says, "i am going to explore the town and see if i can find any clues about mirror ghosts" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn says, "also i better become a boy again" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe smears ashes on face to become a dirty urchin, grabs a hat, and splits from Charles and Pyotr | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe explore explore explore | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Hmm, if this is before I get the orders, then I'm probably still dressed as an Ussuran." | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Pyotr), "Due to your earlier skulking around, you know of one stables relatively nearby with a half a dozen horses in it, and another on the outskirts of town with a couple dozen." | |
| Pyotr says, "Hmm" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Which means I'm in no danger of being recognized if I help out." | |
| Pyotr says, "More is better. Let's go get a dozen horses." | |
| Pyotr heads for the stable outside town. | |
| Charles asks (of Pyotr), "You're going with horses this time, not fire?" | |
| (From GM) horses snort, whinny | |
| Pyotr says (to Charles), "If he never reports, that's suspicious." | |
| Pyotr asks, "If he got knocked out by a random stampede and lost his box, that's less suspicious, right?" | |
| Pyotr says, "Now, sssh" | |
| Pyotr sneaks into the stable, looking to see if any stableboys are here. | [interludes] Armel asks (of Raelynn), "Hey, there, boy! Gimme a hand with this, will you?" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe . o O ( drat. i didn't want to do heavy labor ) | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe scurries over, keeps head down | |
| GM says, "It's early in the morning; you think you hear someone snoring in the hayloft." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, ""no problem, sir"" |
| [interludes] Armel says, "Thanks! Just pick up the other end of this box." | |
| Pyotr points Charles to the bridles near the door, then to himself, then to the hayloft. | |
| Pyotr climbs into the hayloft with a coil of rope. | [interludes] Armel and you load the box into a wagon. |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe grabs the edge and grunts | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "what's in there? bricks?" | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe rubs arms | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "plan: tie him up before he can wake up and shout" | [interludes] Armel exclaims, "Whew, that's the last of 'em!" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe looks at the wagon | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "if needed, tap him gently with the pommel of my knife so he sleeps more soundly" | |
| boy says, "snrkkkkk zzzzzzz" | |
| Pyotr takes a handy, empty, sack, and throws it over the boy's head. | [interludes] Armel says, "Personal effects, mostly. Everyone wants their stuff before we head home." |
| [interludes] Armel asks, "You got anything you want loaded?" | |
| Pyotr says, "<whisper> Now, some people, they'd scream right now." | |
| Pyotr says, "<whisper> They'd probably find out about my knife, next." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "not i. i didn't have anything when i came, and i haven't really collected anything" |
| Pyotr asks, "<Whisper> You that kind of boy, or are you the kind who's gonna stay quiet, and live?" | |
| boy says, "Ack whrr what ow" | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "this going on the ships?" |
| boy nods vigorously | [interludes] Armel says, "Ayup." |
| Pyotr says, "Good, I'll just tie you up then, and I'm sure you'll be found in the morning." | |
| Pyotr tie tie gag gag. | |
| Pyotr says, "Sleep well." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "this is a lot of stuff. they all belong to one person or something?" |
| Pyotr says (to Charles), "<Whisper> Okay, string them together, let's lead them to the right street, then I'll start them." | [interludes] Armel says, "Nah, this is the red fox division." |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I'm kinda hoping this will work with my Traps knack, but hey, whatever, it's fun" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Heh." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Sure, why not." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr exclaims, "no, wait, this is clearly an Ambush!" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "any chance i know what the red fox division is from my time with the army?" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "(I have the same rank, 1, for both)" | |
| Pyotr asks, "Okay, is that them down there?" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Rae), "That's the sort of name that the Montaignian navy gives to a group of sailors from a few ships." | |
| Pyotr says, "Down the street? I think that's them." | |
| GM says, "Tromp tromp tromp" | |
| Raymonde and co turn down the street, almost to the docks! | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "oh, so they are clearly all going to the same ship, huh?" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i wonder what a bunch of guys can accummulate on a campaign like this" | |
| Pyotr says, "Okay, untie the bridles. Now, stay back, but grab that torch. When I start yelling, run up with the torch and wave it. I'll give 'em a good smack with the flat of my axe to help." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i've been just fine with my knife and cloak and boots and a change of clothes" |
| Pyotr says, "They'll race down the street, w'll follow, and in the confusion we'll knock out Raymonde and grab that chest." | |
| Pyotr asks, "Easy, right?" | [interludes] Armel says, "Enh, not much. We plundered a couple cities on the way here, but haven't seen much action lately." |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "tell me what you want me to roll, for which parts of the plan" | |
| Charles says, "I don't think 'easy' is quite the word to describe it." | |
| Pyotr says, "This always works when you're hunting elk. Except we use other elk, then." | |
| Charles says, "But it certainly might work." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "OK, let's see." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "your stuff on here?" |
| Charles gets an brief mental image of a herd of frightened Montaignes stampeding down the alley over Raymonde and company, pursued by Pyotr and his axe. | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Ambush/Panache for the plan in general; Charles can assist with, um, something. Then R&co will roll to see if they can get out of the way." | [interludes] Armel exclaims, "Yup!" |
| Charles says, "Horses are probably the best choice here, yes." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "okay, I'm adding in two drama" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "roll 6k5" | |
| [7thsea] Pyotr rolls 6k5: 7 9 4 4 2 7 | 31 | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "there we go" | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Hmm. Footwork, or maybe Pugilism? Am I assisting in driving the horses or with knocking him down?" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Charles), "Let's go with Pugilism, sure." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Or with pretending to be horse keepers chasing down our lost wards?" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "OK." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Driving the horses." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(for now)" | |
| [7thsea] Charles rolls 5k3: 8 3 4 9 5 | 22 | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe walks around the wagon, counting the number of boxes |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "as she returns to the back, she stumbles and falls (and in the process, bumps the boxes in order to dislodge the lid, knock if off the wagon, anything)" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Alrighty, that's 7 over 15; which bumps the 31 to 38." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "is that a straigh brawn roll?" | [interludes] Armel says, "Nah, that can just happen." |
| [interludes] Armel exclaims, "Whoa!" | |
| [ussura] GM exclaims, "Now, the group!" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "The 12 guys:" | |
| [7thsea] GM rolls 5k3: 6 3 6 10+7 3 | 29 | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i am so sorry!" |
| Pyotr exclaims, "Ay yah!" | |
| (From GM) The twelve guys scatter, dropping their stuff and stumbling to the sides of the road! | |
| [7thsea] Raymonde rolls 6k3: 6 8 2 3 2 6 | 20 | |
| Pyotr smacks a few horses with the flat of his axe, and then chases after the horses. | |
| Raymonde gets trapped in the middle of the road, where he is run into by a horse! | |
| Raymonde exclaims, "Ooof!" | |
| Pyotr runs up to Raymonde, and tries to hit him with the flat of the axe. | |
| Charles stays on their tails, keeping them on course by thwapping any who try to stray the wrong way. | [interludes] Armel says, "Eh, that's OK." |
| [interludes] Armel turns to pick up the lid to put it back on the box. | |
| [ussura] GM asks (of Rae), "What were you looking for?" | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe looks inside |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "a mirror? :)" | |
| [ussura] Alex says (to Raelynn_as_Ralphe), "Awwwk! Word on the street is that mirror is where the pretty birdies are." | |
| Charles shouts (at the Horses, in Ussuran), "Come back here! Whoa, Daisy! Don't stomp all over the nice man in the middle of the road like that!" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "just curious as to what's in there. magicky artifacts, explosives" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "torches" | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe bends over and looks inside |
| Charles, while Pyotr is making sure Raymonde is "distracted", scoops up the box in passing and hurries after the horses. | [interludes] Armel says, "They actually are indeed stuff like clothes and trinkets. And, sure, a mirror, if you like." |
| [ussura] GM asks (of Pyotr), "Rolling an attack?" | |
| Pyotr settles for just running into Raymonde and knocking him down, and away from Charles. | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "yeah, but just Dirty Fighting, I think" | |
| [7thsea] Pyotr rolls 6k3: 8 7 7 7 8 1 | 23 | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Go for it--TN 15, what with already being buffetted." | |
| Pyotr exclaims, "Watch out, you oaf! I'll lose my horses!" | |
| [ussura] GM exclaims, "A hit! He's knocked to one side, and the chest goes flying in the other direction!" | |
| Pyotr turns to Raymonde, standing between him mand the chest. | |
| Pyotr exclaims, "Now I'll never get them back! Because you couldn't move!" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Charles! Roll stealth to see if you can get it without anyone noticing." | |
| [7thsea] Charles rolls 6k4: 7 9 2 3 4 3 | 23 | |
| [7thsea] Raymonde rolls 4k3: 4 2 2 1 | 8 | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I was thinking Conceal myself, but Stealth's even better." | |
| Raymonde is so stunned he can hardly see straight, let alone notice anything going on. | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "it can't be that easy to get a ghost mirror, can it?" | |
| Charles discreetly tucks it under one arm, then positions himself on the far side of the horses as he makes his exit. | [interludes] GM says, "Nah, it's just a normal mirror." |
| Pyotr exclaims, "Now I have to try and catch them!" | |
| Pyotr follows Charles. | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "tucks it under her cloak while Armel is turned away" |
| [Crows-Nest] Charles says, "Step one: get a mirror. Step two: get a ghost." | [interludes] Armel turns back and replaces the lid. |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "so sorry" | |
| Charles ducks into an alley after a few blocks. | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "is armel dressed like a sailor? or is he ussuran laborer?" | |
| Pyotr says, "Okay, let's get out of here and find out what that is." | |
| Pyotr asks, "The tavern, or the forest?" | [interludes] Armel is Montaignian, yeah. |
| Charles says, "Right. Let's go into town. I want to grab some papers at a bar on the way." | |
| Pyotr says, "Okay." | |
| Pyotr says, "I'll skulk outside." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks (of armel), "you been with the navy long?" |
| [interludes] Armel exclaims, "This is my first campaign!" | |
| Charles redecorates himself as himself before leaving the alley, then picks up his orders and rejoins Pyotr. | |
| Pyotr skulk. | [interludes] Armel says, "Missed out on Castille by being too young, more's the pity." |
| Pyotr exclaims (at Lady), "No, no, I'm just a poor hunter. I'm sure I've never met your long lost husband. Good night!" | |
| Pyotr says (to Charles), "let's go." | [interludes] GM says (to Pyotr), "Hee hee" |
| Charles asks (of Pyotr), "Another admiring fan of Pyotr the Murderer?" | [interludes] Armel hops up on the front of the wagon. "You going to the docks? I could give you a lift." |
| Pyotr says (to Charles), "I think she was more a fan of my money pouch." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says (to armel), "sure. you can tell me more about montegue" |
| Pyotr asks, "Anyway, back to that tavern we first met up at?" | |
| Charles says, "Right." | [interludes] Armel shakes his head sadly as he shakes the reigns and the horses start moving. "Pity about him turning on L'Empereur like that." |
| Charles says, "It's a good place to ignore and be ignored." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "so you are laveche's man?" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "what exactly happened anyway? no one would tell me what montegue actually *did*" | |
| GM says, "As you two pass the road of the encounter, you see Raymonde frantically searching the sides of the street as some of his entourage laugh and some of them halfheartedly help him." | |
| Pyotr says, "Let's duck down thataway." | [interludes] Armel says, "Oh, uh, hmm." |
| [interludes] Armel says, "You know, I guess I never did hear." | |
| Charles nods. | [interludes] Armel says, "Stopped attacking the Ussurans, I guess." |
| Charles keeps the box out of sight. | [interludes] Armel asks, "Maybe offered to make peace with them? Joined with them against Montaigne?" |
| Charles picks out the same booth in the back that they were in the last time. | [interludes] Armel shrugs. "I don't know, I just go where I'm told." |
| Pyotr says, "Okay, let's open this thing up." | |
| Charles slides the box across the table to Pyotr. | |
| Charles opens up his orders and reads through them, meanwhile. | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "dunno. i would think that if a general managed to end a war without losing any men, that's a good thing" |
| GM says, "With a little bit of prying, you manage to break the lock in the end. Inside is a stack of papers, along with a few pieces of jewelry." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "but then, i am a kid. what do i know?" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "so is laveche gonna arrest montegue and take him back in chains?" | |
| [interludes] Armel says, "Yeah, sigh." | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "i mean, if he is bad, he's gonna be punished, right?" | |
| Pyotr shows the papers to Charles. "Any of these interesting? Your Montaignian is better than mine." | [interludes] Armel asks, "I guess leaving him here is bad enough?" |
| Charles flips through them. | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Is Pyotr illiterate in it?" | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "true. but he should be able to make his way over to montaigne somehow, no?" |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I'm literate but barely." | |
| Charles says, "Looks like we've stolen his jewelry. I wonder if that makes us proper thieves now." | [interludes] Armel says, "Don't see how, without the ships. He'd have to go through Eisen." |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "oh, right. laveche will be taking the entire fleet with him" | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "thassalot of ships" | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks (of armel), "say. what would happen if i try to get on one of the ships and offer to hire myself on as one of the cabin boys?" | |
| Pyotr says, "We could go give it bak it you want." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i am tired of my master - he's a diplomat and he's so fastidious he keeps trying to make me take a bath" |
| GM says, "The papers are some from the stack Sebastien was going through earlier. Fleet and army orders; messages back and forth; status reports; that sort of thing." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "if i can get back to montaigne without him, i will be well rid of him" |
| [interludes] Armel says, "Heh. Well, I don't suppose you'd be missed if you stayed, but we're a long way from home." | |
| [interludes] Armel says, "I'm looking forward to seeing my sisters and my father again, myself." | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i know. i was thinking of going out to that ship (points to the one charles saw was arranged weirdly) and offering my services" | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "you think i got a shot?" | |
| GM says, "The one piece that was more obviously in code was the one Sebastien already slipped out; if you had time, you could search for some more." | [interludes] Armel says, "Oh, I don't think those ships are leaving." |
| Pyotr flips looking for more papers that don't make sense. | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "but you said." |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe adopts a very guileless but confused expression | |
| [interludes] GM asks, "You're waiting here for a while, then, while you search?" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I am, unless Charles wants to go." | [interludes] Armel says, "Oh, right. Yeah, I think they're gonna be burned or something." |
| Charles says, "I'm not sure that there's anything new here, unless there's something Sebastien missed." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "oh" |
| Pyotr says, "Yeah, I think you're right. Drat." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "can you tell me which ones won't be going?" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "so i won't make that mistake?" | |
| Charles asks, "Do you think there's any advantage to trying to get on Raymonde's good side by returning it?" | [interludes] Armel says, "Well, the ones that are going are all anchored off-shore." |
| Pyotr says, "Hmm" | |
| Pyotr says, "I was thinking about using it to lure him into a trap." | |
| Pyotr says, "And then making him help us somehow" | [interludes] Armel asks, "Didn't you get the message earlier?" |
| [interludes] Armel looks at you curiously. | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "if the ones that are going are anchored off-shore, what were the ships that aren't going? are they all at the dock?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Right." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says (to armel), "i told you. i work for a diplomat, not the navy." |
| Charles says, "Also an option. Though I'd prefer not to expose this face as an enemy of LaVache at this point." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "what's the message say?" |
| [interludes] Armel says, "Oh, OK." | |
| Pyotr says, "True." | |
| Pyotr says, "Why don't you return it and get in good." | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe gets a cold meat pie from the tavern out of the cloak pocket and offers Armel half |
| [interludes] Armel says, "That we're leaving tonight, pack everything, everyone assigned to a ship." | |
| Charles asks, "And you?" | [interludes] Armel says, "Thanks, don't mind if I do." |
| Pyotr asks, "I dunno. Skulk around until you need me?" | |
| Armel pulls up to the docks. | [interludes] Armel pulls up to the docks. |
| Charles says, "This might be a good opportunity to get a message to LaVache." | |
| GM says, "(except on-channel)" | |
| Charles takes out his notepad and starts drafting a letter. | |
| Pyotr asks, "Hmm, true. Use Raymonde to deliver it?" | |
| Charles says, "Precisely." | [interludes] Armel says (to boatman), "Hey, there! Got a load for the red fox division." |
| Pyotr looks for a short note in the stack. | [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "so when is the burning or whatever they are going to do these?" |
| Pyotr says, "Here, just kinda rip the top, and .... ta da, official stationary." | [interludes] Armel asks, "I guess after we get away from here?" |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i guess so" | |
| [interludes] Armel hops down and starts helping some other people unload the wagon; the stuff is loaded into a longboat. | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe hops down. "Thanks sir." | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i am going to stay out of the way, and try convincing a captain to take me on board in a bit" | |
| [interludes] Armel exclaims, "No problem! Good luck with your diplomat!" | |
| [interludes] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "perhaps i will see you back in montagne!" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "can i get fishie or one of its friends to tell me where the longboat goes?" | [interludes] Armel waves cheerily. |
| [ussura] GM asks, "Like, which boat is Armel's?" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "where the load for the red fox division goes" | |
| Charles composes as a first draft something like: MONTEGUE PLOTTING AGAINST YOU STOP EXPLOSION LAST NIGHT HIS DOING STOP DISCOVERED REPORTS OF VALUABLE ANCIENT ARTIFACT HIDDEN UNDER MOUNTAIN STOP POSSIBLY VERY POWERFUL COULD ALLOW OVERTHROW OF EMPIRE STOP TOO MUCH POWER FOR ANY ONE MAN STOP TRAVELLING TO <directions to drachen mountain place> TO FIND IT STOP MUST STOP HIM AT ALL COSTS STOP FATE OF MONTAIGNE IN YOUR HANDS STOP | |
| Charles reads it quietly to Pyotr. "How does that sound?" | |
| Pyotr says, "Hmm, I like it." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe makes way back to Tavern, looking for chaz and pete | |
| Charles says, "Then we just need to arrange to have our allies -- Montegue, the captains, and so forth -- there waiting for him with an ambush." | |
| Pyotr says, "Right." | |
| Pyotr says, "If we can figure out the ships." | |
| Charles waves to Rae when she comes in and shows her the note-in-progress. | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "nice" | |
| Charles says, "Right." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "what was in the chest?" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks (of pyotr), "what ships?" | |
| Pyotr asks (of Rae), "The ones set to explode?" | |
| Charles translates the note into code and copies it onto the proper stationery from the chest while Pyotr explains. | |
| Pyotr says, "Is Montegue is going to have a battle with laVeche, he'll need ships that aren't on fire." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Unlike peasants." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "right. peasants are always on fire" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "oh. all the shps at the dock are going to explode" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "all the ships that are sailing are the ones anchored off-shore" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "also, they sail tonight" | |
| Pyotr looks out the window. That's a lot of ships. | |
| Pyotr says, "Hey, how about this." | |
| GM says (to Pyotr), "Most of the activity is in the longboats, which are slipping between the ships on their way out to the ones off-shore, but there's some activity on the two new holified ships that are now moored at the docks." | |
| Pyotr says, "If they're going to explode, they're full of gunpowder. Gunpowder doesn't burn when it's wet." | |
| Charles says, "True." | |
| Pyotr says, "So we just need to get on-board them all and wet down the gunpowder." | |
| Pyotr says, "No, I don't want to sink them." | |
| Pyotr exclaims, "We need them later!" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "don't we have the captains? can't we just sail them away?" | |
| Pyotr asks, "Did Laveche leave the sailors behind, too?" | |
| Charles says (to Raelynn), "If they try to set sail, LaVache will probably make sure to have them set off." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "i have to say, i am still confused why laveche would explode them if montegue is not here. since the exploding ships are to kill montegue, no?" | |
| Charles says, "While you two work this out, I'm going to go return this to its rightful owner." | |
| Pyotr says, "Well, it's also to keep the Ussurans from using them." | |
| Pyotr says, "Say, to fight a naval battle." | |
| Charles sweeps the papers and jewelry back into the chest and goes to find Raymonde. | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "wasn't there a guy offering to sell the ships?" | |
| Pyotr says, "Let's see, we need a pump, and a hose, and a bunch of guys...." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "drat. i knew i should have followed up on that" | |
| Pyotr says, "Hmm, I'm not sure where we can get those tonight." | |
| Raymonde is still searching desperately in the street. | |
| Charles says (to Raymonde), "Pardon me. I think this might be yours." | |
| Raymonde mutters "That horse hit me here... eh, what?" | |
| Raymonde exclaims, "Oh!" | |
| Raymonde exclaims, "Thank you thank you thank you!" | [interludes] Raymonde says, "takes the chest and hugs it." |
| Raymonde takes the chest and hugs it. | [interludes] GM says, "Er." |
| Charles says, "Some urchins down that way were going through the contents, but I believe I managed to retrieve all of the personal effects." | |
| Raymonde looks in the chest. | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "did you check for a secret compartment?" | |
| Raymonde says, "They left the jewelry? Most odd." | |
| Charles smiles. "Not by choice, I assure you." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "no, we didn't" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "sadly" | |
| Raymonde looks at you gratefully. | |
| Raymonde says, "Sir, you have saved my life." | |
| Raymonde says, "I couldn't.. couldn't have faced that man without this box." | |
| Charles asks, "No more than my duty as a servant of l'Empereur, sir. Which man do you speak of?" | |
| Raymonde shudders. "LaVache." | |
| Raymonde says, "Horrible man, when he's angry." | |
| Charles says, "Ah -- then we might both be in a position to help him." | |
| Raymonde blinks. "Um... yes?" | |
| Charles leans in close. "I have here a very important missive of a confidentional nature." | |
| Raymonde exclaims, "Oh!" | |
| Charles slips the folded letter out of his pocket. | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says (to pyotr), "i have no ideas" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe takes out the mirror and starts playing with it | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe grimaces at grimy reflection | |
| Charles says, "If you could see that this reaches the Captain..." | |
| Raymonde exclaims, "Surely!" | |
| Pyotr says, "It's okay, your disguise is fine." | |
| Raymonde asks, "I must go, I am already late. Thank you again, sir...?" | |
| Charles says, "I don't use a name, but... 'Falcon' will do." | |
| Raymonde says, "Falcon, then." | |
| Raymonde bows to you smartly, then turns around to hurry down to the docks. | |
| Charles returns to see what Pyotr and Raelynn have been up to meanwhile. | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says (to charles), "nothing, sadly" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "pyotr is still muttering about pumps" | |
| Charles says, "It might be easier to bring the powder to water than vice versa." | |
| Pyotr says, "<mutter> Okay, if we could get a whale in the harbor...." | |
| Charles says, "Of course, that would leave the ships unarmed." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "what if we spread a rumor that montegue has been seen marching inland?" | |
| Pyotr says, "No, no, never work. They're scared of the rats." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "then laveche has no expectation that montegue will come here, so maybe he will keep his men with the ships? and he will go to the dragon mountain?" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "this is so complicate" | |
| GM says, "The activity level in the town is dwindling, as most of the sailors are now at their ships." | |
| Charles says (to Rae), "Yvon is of the opinion that LaVache would sink the ships regardless." | |
| Charles says, "To keep them from falling into anyone else's hands." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "so most of the people are offshore now" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I think the GM is telling us it's time to make a decision." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "what would happen if the captains all walked on to the ships and sailed off?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Hee" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "So: A) sneak onto the ships and try to find blooded stuff" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "oh wait. they are probably blocking the way out" | |
| Charles asks, "LaVache would blow them all to smitherenes before they could leave the harbor?" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "B) Sneak a big pump and a bunch of men onto the ships and damp the gunpowder" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "If you want to wait until everyone is actually gone, that's also fine, but if you want 'em still here, there's not a lot of time left." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "C) Sneak onto the ships and throw the powder overboard" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "D) Something else" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I like A" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "actually" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Rae), "Also, it takes more than just captains to sail ships." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I'm leaning towards A or C, and A has the advantage of not ruining perfectly good gunpowder." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks (of Rae), "Your vote?" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i am still not convinced lavache is going to explode them immediately (see GM's comment) but i guess A" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "although i have no idea how a non-porte person is going to know if an object is blooded" | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "that's why you come, too" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks (of gm), "can a different person tell a blooded object?" | |
| Charles says, "I think searching for and cleaning up any blooded object might still be our best bet." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "like, would someone else be able to tell by looking at which of my stuff has been blooded?" | |
| [ussura] Charles says (to Rae), "Something maybe to bring up IC." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Also, some of the Captains might have a touch of Porte and could maybe help." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says (to Charles), "toss it overboard. cleaning will take forever" | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Rae), "You were not able to tell back in season 1." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "my concern, though, is whether i would be able to tell looking at an object if someone else has blooded it" | |
| Charles says, "Even with your Porte skills? Hrm." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i thought it was a personal thing - i know i couldn't before" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "but i have weird porte" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(when at one point Fleur had *also* blooded your knife, and you noticed when you saw the speck of blood, and another time when you had that roll of black velvet, and managed incredibly to spot the blood on that, too.)" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "maybe we should just try throwing everything down and hope the entire ship itself isn't blooded" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "You have since obtained alterna-porte, however, so things might possibly be different." | |
| Pyotr says, "If only we knew someone with a great sense of smell." | |
| Pyotr asks, "Who was that person in town Era mentioned?" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i mean, i can try. and we will ask the other practitioners, and maybe we will be lucky" | |
| Pyotr exclaims, "Pansemme!" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says (to Pyotr), "parsimmons or something" | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Did the ships in question look mostly abandoned, or mostly crewed at this point?" | |
| Charles asks, "Who is this?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "The ones at the docks? There was activity on two; otherwise, abandoned." | |
| Pyotr says, "Era mentioned her. She speaks Cat, at least." | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "can a person who can't be an animal speak animal?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "(If you need Era's nose, we can use her)" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "or does the language come with the skin?" | |
| Pyotr says, "I dunno." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "oh, that's easier" | |
| Charles says, "We might be able to split up." | |
| [ussura] Pyotr says, "I just want someone with a good chance to smell the blod" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "so that's the plan? get all the captains, era, and we go board the ships and just look and throw everything overboard?" | |
| Charles says, "Us with Era on one ship. Pansemme and some of the Captains on another." | |
| Pyotr says, "Sounds good." | |
| Charles says, "Assuming some of them are familiar enough with Porte to know what to look for." | |
| [ussura] GM says (to charles), "(sure)" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "the ones who blooded the objects are going to know something is up. we better hope that they don't warn the others" | |
| Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "but let's go" | |
| [ussura] GM asks, "Do you want to wait until everyone's out at the other ships?" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "less people in town, the better." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Can we also send a messenger back to Montegue to let him know what's up?" | |
| GM says, "You could go back outside town and talk to, uh, whatshisname." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "i thought the porte guy was going to show up every once in a while to check in with us" | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "now might not be a bad idea" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "As far as I know, we haven't even let him know about the explosives yet." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "And it might be useful to let him know what's in the note I sent LaVache." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Gervais, that was the guy." | |
| [ussura] GM says (to Rae), "Oh, was he? That does indeed sound like a good idea ;-)" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Gaspard was Montegue's Porte dude." | |
| GM says, "So! You guys wait a while until the last of the sailors have departed for the ships." | |
| GM says, "Watching them with your spyglass, you eventually see the four ships that were off searching for the captains return with the main fleet as well." | |
| GM says, "Also, this happens, though you don't actually know it happened:" | |
| Touissant says (to LaVache), ""...FATE OF MONTAIGNE IN YOUR HANDS STOP"" | |
| LaVache asks (of Toussaint), "So! What do you make of it?" | |
| Touissant says, "I couldn't say, sir. If Montegue wants to stay in Ussura on a wild-goose chase, that would certainly work for us." | |
| LaVache asks, "True. Hmm. But what if it's real? What if there truly is power to be found on this Ussuran mountain?" | |
| Touissant sighs. | |
| Touissant asks, "I suppose you're going to have me check it out, aren't you?" | |
| LaVache grins. | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "bad GM Charles wants LaVache!" | |
| LaVache says, "I've heard rumors that all is not stable in Ussura anyway." | |
| LaVache says, "I could use you here. Look for opportunities." | |
| Touissant bows. "I am your servant, as ever, sir." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Charles wants LaVache, but Jota will settle for LaVache's most trusted lieutenant, especially if we can use him somehow against LaVache in the long term." | |
| LaVache says, "Should you find anything, send word at once. I may even return myself." | |
| LaVache asks, "But for now, L'Empereur needs me. I showed you his most recent dispatch?" | |
| Touissant says, "Indeed, sir." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe asks, "did the boys find the most recent dispatch when they searched the trunk?" | |
| LaVache shakes his head. "He worries me. Fear is good for keeping the peasants in line, but they must also be given their bread and circuses. | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I think that's the one that said to stop Montegue." | |
| Touissant says, "I fear he may be turning Charouse into a powderkeg." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "http://strackenz.spod-central.org/~lpsmith/rpg/transcripts/ussura/season2/LaVache.htm" | |
| LaVache says, "Just so." | |
| [ussura] Raelynn_as_Ralphe says, "oh that" | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "Also: Charouse may be the powderkeg, but it's Breslau that burned..." | |
| LaVache says, "Well, you know what to do. You may take Vienne and Nicolette with you, if you wish." | |
| Touissant says, "I had made arrangements..." | |
| LaVache waves his hand. "As you wish. And now, I must talk to the troops..." | |
| GM says, "</scene>" | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Is this where we stop, so that the rest of the party can be here when we try to^W^W sneak onto the ships?" | |
| GM says, "So! The docks are quiet, but for the scraping of a boat or two as the waves rock them gently." | |
| [ussura] Charles asks, "Or is there time to start that tonight?" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "I'm up for doing that tonight if you all are." | |
| [ussura] GM says, "I know it's later there than here, and we usually stop in 20 minutes or so." | |
| [ussura] Charles says, "I am if it's a half hour, but not if it's an hour and a half :)" | |
| [ussura] GM says, "Hee" | |
